Our goal is to ensure that you and your student have all the information you need to start school successfully. We can't wait to see everyone at Meet the Teacher Night in just a couple of weeks!!

Registration is a requirement for all students, whether you were in PTISD last year or you are new to the district. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. In order for your child to have a schedule for Meet the Teacher Night and the first day of school, registration must be completed.

2. In order for registration to be completed, proof of residency must be submitted.

3. The cut off to ride the bus on the first day of school is Friday, August 4. If registration is not completed by the end of the day on August 4, students will not be able to ride the bus until Monday, August 21.

Deadline for first day ridership is August 4. Any forms completed after August 4 will be eligible to ride beginning Monday, August 21. If you need help completing the bus transportation information, please contact the office. We will be happy to assist.

Enter your student ID# for the username and password.

In order for students to have a schedule on the first day of school, registration will need to be completed ahead of time. If you need assistance with registration, please contact us for assistance.
When completing the registration process, please make sure to provide your proof of residency.

New to PTISD students can begin the registration process on Wednesday, August 2nd. In order to complete registration we will need a copy of the child's birth certificate, social security card, proof of residency, parent ID and a copy of immunization records.

School supply lists are posted below. Please note any special classes that not all students will participate in. If you are unable to purchase some or all of the supplies, please let us know and we will be happy to provide those supplies.

It is time for back to school shopping. With that in mind, please make sure you have reviewed the student dress code guidelines before purchasing items. Specific information can be found in the student handbook. If you have questions about specific dressing requirements, please contact us.

When students walk in on their first day of school (August 16) we will have rosters posted on the walls directing students to their first period classes. There, students will receive their schedules. In most cases, their schedules have not changed. But, we do this because some schedules have changed and others have lost or misplaced their schedules prior to the start of school.

You are welcome to walk them to class and drop off their supplies and meet their first period teacher. After this, we ask kindly that you exit the building so that we may begin our day. Even though we will have the building open for students beginning at 7:00 AM, we ask that if you are planning to come in with your student, please wait until 7:45 to ensure that our teachers are on duty. If you arrive after 8:25, you will not be able to walk your student to class as our classes for the day will have already begun.

Please know that we are working diligently to ensure all of our students have the right classes. When it comes to schedule changes, we will do our best to accommodate any reasonable request. Please note that we do not accept schedule change requests for specific teachers or so that students can be in classes with friends.

At this time we are planning to be fully open for campus visitors during the 23-24 school year. If you wish to eat lunch with your student, you are welcome to check in at the office and come to the cafeteria during their lunch time. Please do not drop off fast food for your student. If you have fast food, please come in and enjoy it with your student.

For the 2023-2024 school year, all students in 5th and 6th grade will receive a free breakfast and a free lunch each day. There is no paperwork to complete for your child to receive their free meals. Please make sure your child knows his or her student number to take advantage of this incredible deal.

Please be aware that our final bell rings at 4:00 PM. While we understand that sometimes doctor's appointments have to be scheduled late in the day or emergencies may come up, we would ask that all changes to transportation be made before 3:20 PM. Our primary goal is to ensure that students get home safely each day. Late changes to transportation can cause confusion and may create an unsafe situation. The front office staff at PTMS thanks you for your attention to this matter.

Students will need to be able to log in to their emails. Here is how to log in:

Go to Google.com

Look in the upper right hand corner for the gmail log in.

Google accounts for Prek-6th Grade will be studentID@ptisd.org for the account.

PTMS highly recommends changing your password upon log in to something easy to remember. Write your name, student ID number, and password on an index card and give that information to your first period teacher. This will help to keep your account secure.

Attendance is a key component to student success. By law, students are required to have at least 90% attendance in a course to receive credit. In reality, we need them here as much as possible. However, must also take certain precautions when students exhibit symptoms of not feeling well. If you feel like your child is sick, please take them to the doctor and get a note to return to school.

The front doors open for car riders at 7:00 am. Please do not leave children unattended prior to 7:00 as this presents an unsafe environment.

Bus doors will open at 7:45 am.

The school day ends at 4:00 pm.
