GEMS Family Crew Update

at Scioto Audubon Metro Park Playground (400 W Whittier St, Columbus, OH 43215)

We'll meet by one of the tables near the playground equipment just past the climbing wall & water tower.

Look for Kristian or Adrienne in their green Family Crew shirts. We hope to see you then! If you cannot find us please text us at ‪(380) 799-6690‬.

Any changes to this event (in case of predicted bad weather) will be emailed out to the mailing list on as soon as we know on Friday or Saturday. If you don't hear from us we'll look forward to seeing you there!

We have scheduled two volunteer opportunities to help with projects around GEMS over the next few weeks. If you can make either please sign up below! We'd love to have you come out and help the GEMS staff prepare the building for our student's return in the fall.

Pizza will be provided on Tuesday July 30th.

Please join us to help clean up the back parking lot and playground, front parking lot and playground, and the lawns and sidewalks around the school just in time for Back to School Night!

If you are willing to volunteer at the Family Crew table at Back to school night we'd love the help! Each shift will be approximately 10-15 minutes. We need helpers to talk to families about what family crew is and pass out information on our upcoming events. We will also have a newsletter signup sheet available.

At Skate Zone 71 (4900 Evanswood Dr, Columbus, OH 43229)

The 1st hour (5-6pm) will be open to only GEMS students and family members and then 6-8:30 it will be open to the public.

Join us for a Halloween celebration at GEMS. Watch for the Fall newsletters for more information.

Join us for an evening of board games and family fun! We will have some board and card games, similar to the event that was held last year.

We will also be collecting donations for the Thanksgiving baskets this night as well.

GEMS is hosting a Winter Dance again this December. More details to follow.
