Hello Farmers Families!

It's time for Spring Break! We hope you have a wonderful week off with your families. Grades are due when we come back and report cards will be issued for the 3rd nine weeks on Friday, March 28th.

Remaining Snow Make-Up Days | School WILL BE in session on the following days:

• Friday, April 18th
• Friday, May 23rd
• Tuesday, May 27th

Our next Early Dismissal Day is Wednesday, March 26th. Car riders will dismiss at 1:45 PM, and buses will depart aroung 2:00 PM.

Each week we have a WOW word. Mrs. Pace and Mr. Figg announce the new word on Monday, share its meaning/definition, and ask each classroom to develop and submit a sentence using the word. Each day we review it in a new context on the announcements and on Friday, a WOW winner is selected!

Miss Alvey's class was the WOW winner last week! Congrats to them!

The Word of the Week this week is DEBRIS.

Part of Speech: DEBRIS is a noun.

Definition(s): DEBRIS is scattered pieces of waste of remains.

Synonyms: waste, garbage, wreckage

Sentence Example: After the storm passed, the streets were covered in debris from fallen trees and broken rooftops.

This week's attendance challenge winner for the week of March 10-14 is 1st Grade with with 96.53%! They have earned an extra recess for the week we come back from Spring Break!
