College Rep Visits
Meeting with representatives from colleges and military branches can provide valuable insights into their programs, admissions processes, and life after high school. Here are a few tips to make the most of these informal meetings:
Prepare Questions: Think about what you want to know. Consider asking about admissions requirements, campus culture, financial aid options, and extracurricular activities.
Research: Familiarize yourself with the colleges or branches that will be present. Knowing a bit about them can help you ask more informed questions.
Take Notes: Bring a notebook or use your phone to jot down important information and insights you gather during the meetings.
Be Open-Minded: Even if you have a particular college in mind, this is a great chance to explore other options that might be a good fit.
Follow Up: If you find someone particularly helpful or have further questions later, don’t hesitate to reach out to them via email or social media.
Check out who is coming for a visit to Lakeville South! LSHS College/Military Visits. If you would like to attend a visit, please sign up on this Google Form. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Juaire in Room B-300A or email Amy.Juaire@isd194.org. Most visits will meet in Room B-300A (next to the Media Center) unless otherwise noted.

MN National College Fair: Oct. 22 - 23, 2024
What's a National College Fair?
Free and open to the public, National College Fairs are the perfect place to kick off your college search. Admission representatives from schools across the country are all gathered in one place. Their goal: To encourage you to learn more about their institutions, and help you sort through the qualities you’re looking for in a college.
Use your visit to:
- Explore your options. Each fair draws representatives from 175 to 400 colleges. The schools are located throughout the US, and from around the globe.
- Ask questions. What’s college life like? What majors are popular on campus? Chatting with representatives from a variety of colleges can help you cement your own preferences.
- Gather information. Pick up brochures and other materials about the schools that interest you. Ask admission reps to scan your barcode—an easy way to help colleges follow up with you after the fair.
For more information on the upcoming College Fair in October, please visit: NACAC National College Fair - Minnesota.
