Otsego Local Schools Week of December 14th
7th GRADE LIFE SKILLS
This week, the 7th grade learned about coping skills related to stress, anxiety, and anger. We focused on what causes our emotions and feelings and what can we do to manage them better. For example, the students had to draw and/or write what activities they do to cope with their feelings of stress, anxiety, and anger in a positive and healthy way. Then the students practiced one coping technique that they read about: Guide Imagery Muscle Relaxation. We ended the class with a game of Stress Free Bingo!
WOOD COUNTY YOUTH COUNCIL - Embracing Technology!
WOOD COUNTY TEEN INSTITUTE
In 2016, leaders from all Wood County Teen Institute groups will come together to form the Wood County Youth Council. These students meet and discuss certain topics of focus that are relevant within the county. The students then take back this information to their school's Teen Institute group. The Youth Council will be communicating through Google Hangout so students from throughout the county can participate. Join TI at Otsego and encourage healthy choices and positive lifestyles! Teen Institute meetings are held twice each month during the high school lunch periods. Contact Mrs. Cornish at the email listed below to join the Otsego Teen Institute Leadership Group.
