Dear Johnson parents and guardians,
Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week!
This week marks Teacher Appreciation Week! Johnson Elementary is fortunate to have such remarkable teachers. The best way to honor this occasion is quite simple: express your appreciation. I encourage you to send a message via ParentSquare, an email, or a handwritten note to let them know how much you value their work. Invite your child to do the same. Share your favorite teacher moments at home and discuss those who have made a significant impact on your life. If possible, reach out to YOUR favorite teachers and express your gratitude. Your kind words will mean the world to them!
Upcoming Celebration: School Nurse Day
May 7 is School Nurse Day! Ms. Jeannie is an exceptional nurse who not only possesses vast knowledge and skill but also connects wonderfully with kids. We are truly lucky to have her at JES!
Weekly Affirmation: I am a product of my decisions.
Our weekly affirmation focuses on decision-making. Most of our students are consistently making positive choices each day; however, some are struggling. Whether it’s the first day of school or the last, students must be accountable for their words and actions. Please remind your child to continue demonstrating good character and making wise decisions.
Parents and families, remember that YOU were your child's first teacher. We appreciate all the effort and guidance you provided to prepare them for success in school. Thank you!
Have a wonderful week!
Mrs. Carter
PreK-Kindergarten 2025-2026
If you know someone who has preschool or kindergarten age child, but they were unable to attend the enrollment night, it is not too late! They can call the school (812-752-8923) and we can get the enrollment process started!
PRE-K PARENTS: Make sure you have the On My Way PreK application completed! It is important for ALL PreK (2025-2026 school year) parents to complete this! The longer you wait to complete this application the longer it will take you to be approved for funding. We don't want funding to run out prior to you getting approved. Let us know if you need ANY help completing this application.
