Godwin Heights Middle School Families,
Welcome back! After a well-deserved mid-winter break, our students and staff returned refreshed and ready to learn. This past week, we focused on being disciplined in our choices, reflecting the D in Godwin PRIDE. Whether in the classroom, hallways, or lunchroom, we emphasized making responsible decisions that support our learning and school community.
As we step into March, we look forward to warmer temperatures, longer days, and even more learning! We encourage students to stay engaged, complete their work, and continue showing their Godwin PRIDE in all they do.
Thank you for your continued support in making GHMS a great place to learn and grow!

Daily Tutoring
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We appreciate your continued support of our after-school tutoring program as we work to provide additional academic support for our students. We wanted to share a few important updates regarding the program:
- Permanent Tutoring List: We are currently utilizing 88% of our available tutoring space. To ensure we are prioritizing students who need the most support, we will begin removing students from the permanent list if they have Cs or higher in all their classes. Additionally, moving forward, any student added to the permanent list must be approved by the course proficiency team.
- Daily Sign-Ups Still Available: All students will still have the opportunity to sign up for tutoring during advisory each day if space is available.
- Attendance Expectations: To ensure students receive the full benefit of tutoring, we ask that they arrive on time and stay for the full session unless previously arranged.
- Pick-Up Procedures: Students will be released from tutoring classrooms at 3:15pm. Please plan to pick up students near the main office entrance off of Wexford.
- Please remind your student to bring necessary materials, including assignments or classwork they may need help with.
- If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to durga@godwinschools.org or kathryn.golden@godwinschools.org.
Thank you for your partnership in supporting student success!
