Hello Legacy Families!

• Friday, 11/22, Fall Festival
• Monday-Friday 11/25-11/29, Fall Break (No School)

For the entire month of November, we will be highlighting the imporatnce of sleep for our students. We encourage you to mark your calendars for our Parent Workshop on Thursday 11/14 at 5:00pm with the Author of "The Sleep Deprived Teen", Lisa Lewis. See below for more information.

Students in the Future Business Leaders of America class have achieved high state rankings in the Knowlege Matters Personal Finance and Business Management Challenges. The Virtual Business Personal Finance Challenge encourages FBLA members to test their financial literacy skills, including managing bank accounts, paying bills, filing taxes, applying for jobs, enrolling in educational courses, paying for goods, applying for credit cards, determining schedules, and budgeting. The FBLA Virtual Business Management Challenge encourages FBLA members to test their skills at managing either a bicycle manufacturing business or a blue jeans manufacturing business in which participants manage recruiting/hiring/supervising employees, risk management, organizing floor layouts, and bidding on orders.

Seniors Jaiden Lee and Rizwan Gosla achieved a 4th place ranking in California for the Virtual Business Management Challenge. Legacy students also placed 5th, 6th, and 7th in California for Business Management and 7th, 8th, 10th, and 11th in California for Personal Finance.

Bring your friends and family and support fellow students as they perform in the Legacy Productions show Trap! (It may not be suitable for small children.) Shows will be on November 7th, 8th, 15th, and 16th!

On Tuesday we had our National Donut Day basketball game lunchtime activity. It was a fun activity to watch students DUNK to win Dunkin’ Donuts!

Today we had our Volleyball Tournament lunchtime activity to celebrate our fall athletes. It was a big HIT and we loved watching our athletes compete. Congratulations to team ____ for the win!

Today we had a RISE Pop-up shop! Make sure to keep saving up your RISE tickets so you can use them at the Pop-Up shops.

It's time to catch those Z’s because the Legacy Sleep Campaign is this month! On the 14th, we will have a guest speaker Sleep Specialist that will present to students and parents! Remember to wear your PJs every Friday and don’t forget to fill out the sleeping log every day at tinyurl.com/lmasleeplog

This coming Monday 11/11 is Veterans Day when we take the time to thank and appreciate our Veterans who have sacrificed their lives to serve our country. We will have Monday off, so Friday will be an odd-day schedule.

There will be a Cake Walk for National Bundt Cake Day next Friday, 11/15! Come quick, since spots are limited, and bring your friends to get a chance to win sweet treats!

It's time to catch those Z’s because the Legacy Sleep Campaign is coming up this month! Look forward to sleep-based seminars, activities, and Friday Pajama Days!

Next Monday is our first TIDEpool Tutoring session. This is a time for Middle School students to receive help from their High School mentors. It will take place in Mr. Maduenos' room every Monday during point break.
