Congrats to the Winter Guard for making the finals at the Winter Guard International (WGI) Dallas Regional. All classifications of UIL compete TOGETHER in this event and the levels are separated by the maturity of the groups. Wylie finished 4th among 6A groups and 8th overall.

Come see ALL the TWB Winter Guards this FRIDAY (2/25) at the North Texas Colorguard Association (NTCA) local contest at Lovejoy HS. TWB will have 3 groups performing.

We have not met as a booster club in some time due to holidays and other events. It is imperative that we meet this evening to plan the following activities.

February 22nd is our Ensemble Recital.

• This event is to showcase the individual small group ensembles that is part of our curriculum for instrumental music students.
  
• This is a recital format that will be in multiple large rooms at WHS. This is an intimate setting that will have an audience in each recital, and an adjudicator to give a division score for their performance (like UIL).
  
• We want ALL PARENTS TO ATTEND. Each recital group will be around 45-50 minutes long.

The incoming freshmen will be here on Friday for their 1st Marching/Movement workshop. This officially begins the first workout for the next marching season!

• WHO ATTENDS: Incoming freshmen, current leadership, members interested in leadership for next year.
• TIME: 4:45PM-6:30PM
• LOCATION: Start in band hall, then split up
• ATTIRE: Comfortable clothes and athletic shoes

While the wind players have their recital on Tuesday 2/22, the Percussion have a concert that includes grades 6-12 percussionists, on Saturday 2/26. This is a fun concert that features all of our feeder schools and the talented TWB percussion students. There is also an adjudicator to give a division score for their performance (like UIL). This concert will be held in the Montgomery Center at WHS.

• We will make each percussion ensemble performance something special for everyone involved. We will focus on raising our musical and visual achievement for each performing group.
