Week of August 21st

June 8, 2024
Principal's Message
Greetings KP Community,
As we are entering our last full week of school with final assessments beginning on Thursday, I want to take a moment to personally thank the KP community for an incredible first year. I can't say enough about how welcoming the community has been and how many exceptional opportunities this school system provides for students, faculty and families. I truly feel at home here and I look forward to many years to come. This time of year, however, is always bittersweet as we prepare for graduation tomorrow. The culmination of years of hard work from our seniors, and the promise of unlimited possibilities for their futures, is always a joy to celebrate. However, a few tears will be shed on Sunday as we say goodbye and good luck to these amazing KP graduates!

Meet the new KP School Counselor!
Welcome
We are excited to announce Carissa Turenne will be joining the KPRHS School Counseling Department as a School Counselor.
We are excited to announce Nicole Murphy will be joining the KPRHS School Counseling Department as the School Counseling Secretary.
New School Counselor Introduction:
My name is Carissa Turenne, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new School Counselor at King Philip Regional High School. I recently graduated with a Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and I am honored to join King Philip’s School Counseling Department this fall. I look forward to contributing to the comprehensive support of King Philip’s students in their academic, social, emotional, and college and career development journeys.
Over the past two years, I have had the opportunity to intern at Nipmuc Regional High School and within the Boston Public School system. These experiences, alongside my graduate coursework, have reinforced my dedication to supporting and guiding high school students toward personal and academic success. Outside of work, you can find me putting in the miles at CycleBar, relaxing at the beach, or spending time with my three energetic nephews.
Now, as I embark on the start of my career, I am excited about the opportunity to empower and inspire the students at King Philip this upcoming school year. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time—I look forward to connecting with you and the King Philip community!
