Congratulations to all those students who auditioned at Area Last Saturday! We are proud of all of your work and sacrifice preparing for this.

We have an all stater!

Please congratulate AARON WILSON, tenor sax, on his accomplishment for making it a second year in a row!

He earned a free trip to San Antonio in February to perform with the top 2% of musicians from across the state of Texas!

1. Region Band Clinic and Concert is this week! Come see the concerts @ MHS! Times and info below in "blurb"

2. Solo Contest is coming up. If you plan on playing a solo please fill out this Solo Entry form ASAP (CLICK). We will use this info to schedule/assign accompanist rehearsals and for Judge Hiring so we appreciate your help in filling out the form even if you haven't "finalized" your solo.

3. Interested in being a student leader for 2025-2026 (Section Leader, President/VP, Drum Major, ect), Fill out this interest form HERE (CLICK) so we can appropriately plan for our 1st training on Saturday February 8th.

4. We need your help to recruit business sponsors! This is the easiest way to lower fee's and build opportunities at this time of the year when businesses have new $$$ to invest in the community. See below how you can suggest or send our sponsorship package info out!

5. Save the date for our New Orleans trip Pre-travel meeting Wednesday March 5th @ 6:30pm. We "require" the traveling student and one parent/guardian present for this meeting.

6. Auditions for band placement for the Fall of 2025 are earlier and adjusted this year. Here is the MBHS AUDITION LETTER so you can prepare

Clinic Date & Times

***Sectional splits by band have started as well as percussion ensembles. I am not going to post these individually here. Students have access to those calendars on their band app, canvas pages or hardcopies. Students share these with your parents and take responsibility for knowing your schedule :)

Wednesday (1/15): Full Orchestra Rehearsals 3:00-4:30pm

Thursday (1/16): All Region Band Clinic Rehearsals after school (IHS and MHS) 5:00-9:00pm, ***

Friday (1/17): All Region Band Clinic Rehearsal during schools. Concerts @ MHS start at 4:00pm!, ***

Monday (1/20): MLK Holiday/ Inauguration day (NO SCHOOL)

Tuesday (1/21): ***

Wednesday (1/22): Full Orchestra Rehearsals 3:00-4:30pm

Thursday (1/23): ***
