The Pflugerville Independent School District Gifted and Talented Program screening referral window is open from Oct. 1-25, 2024. All students, K-5, can be referred for testing.

Paper copies of the GT Referral Forms must be completed and returned to school to Ms. Portillo, our school counselor, by Oct. 25th at 3:00p.m. Screening results will be available in Spring 2025. Late referral forms will be placed in next year’s screening window. A referral does not ensure your student will qualify for program services. Rather, it is the first step of the multi-step, multi-measure identification process.

If your child is sick you can report an absence by filling out our Report an Absences form.

Also, all doctor notes need to be submitted within three days of the absences otherwise it will be recorded as a parent note and will count as an unexcused absence.

Parents can now eat lunch with their students, but space is limited. We ask that you please sign up for a lunch spot. We allow 5 families per grade level each day. Please use the Sign Up Genius link below to reserve your spot.

If you would like to volunteer as a lunchroom monitor, please click the link below to sign up.

There are 2 time slots available, 10:15am-11:45am (Pre-K, 1st, & 2nd Grade) and 11:45am-1:30pm (Kinder, 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade).

When you arrive you will need to sign in at the front office before heading to the cafeteria. Please bring your driver's license or ID to sign in.

We love Volunteers and love having you come on campus and work with students and help out with projects around school...but first you must complete the volunteer form. This form must be completed every school year in order to volunteer at Mott. We are looking for more substitutes at Mott to support our dedicated teachers and Educational Associates. Substitutes are essential so our staff can attend doctor's appointments, take care of their children, or simply enjoy a well-deserved day off. We have a small, reliable pool of regular substitutes, often including the parents and family members of our Mott students, who we call when we need coverage. If you have the time and flexibility, we encourage you to sign up for subbing. You can choose to work exclusively at Mott, and the compensation is excellent!

• The students are expected to follow the dress code, click here for the PfISD dress code. Students are strongly encouraged to wear tennis shoes on days that they have PE.
• Students may wear a mask if they choose; however, the school does not offer masks. Students must bring their own masks.
• Students may bring disposable or refillable water bottles with a secure lid. We have bottle fillers throughout the campus that can be used to refill their water bottles.

Free Breakfast will be available to all students from 7:05am- 7:35am. Once a student arrives at school they will head to the cafeteria and eat breakfast before heading to class.

Lunch will be closed to parents until September 3. Parents are welcome to eat lunch with their students after Labor Day. This will allow procedures and expectations to be in place. An ID is required to check in and obtain a badge to proceed to the cafeteria for lunch. A sign up to eat lunch with your child will be available in next week's newsletter.

How to purchase Lunch ?

If your student would like to purchase lunch you have two options. One, you may send cash to school with your student. It will be added to their lunch account. (Change will not be given). Please seal the cash in an envelope and clearly label with your child's name and lunch money. You may also set up an account and add money electronically. You will need to set up an account on Myschoolbucks.com . You will be available to add money as well as monitor what your kids are eating and set limits on what they can purchase.
