Principal Weekly Update: 1/5/2024

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your generosity and thoughtfulness for the Christmas season is heartfelt and appreciated. The gifts, cards, pictures, treats, and Scrip were a wonderful blessing. The Christmas break gave me a chance to spend quality time with my husband and children. It was a beautiful time of making family memories, playing board games, and enjoying the faithful reason for the season of Jesus' love and birth. I hope the break brought you joy and happiness as well.

The New Year is certainly going to be a happy and fun-filled time as we prepare for a plethora of events and exciting opportunities for our students. Field trips, Catholic Schools Week, the Book Blast, and so much more are set to fill our January and February calendar. Please read the remainder of this newsletter carefully as it has a number of important updates for all of you.

ACADEMIC UPDATE:

The end of Quarter 2 is Friday, January 19th. You can anticipate report cards by the week of January 24th. Please contact your child/ren's teacher or the Principal with any questions or concerns.

Starting on January 8th, 3K students will be getting picked up after school in the big parking lot across the street.

They will be lining up in the hallway in front of 4K, and will be walking across the street along with the older students at 2:50. Please note that the pick-up students do not walk across until the bus leaves the parking lot.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask Mrs. Lade!

4th Grade through high school are welcome to attend the St. Clare Youth Trivia night on Sunday January 7th from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Greenleaf sight. Pizza and water will be provided. Feel free to bring your favorite drink and a snack to pass. Please RSVP to Caleb at 920-901-0672. Call if you have questions.

Our very own Mr. Pete Brauer is going to Dash for Cash during the Green Bay Gambler Hockey game and community event on Saturday, January 27th at 7:05pm. If you order your tickets on the form below by Friday, January 12th you are guaranteed tickets in the St. Clare School section of the arena. $3 from each ticket returns directly back to St. Clare School. Your support means a lot! Plus, we have a reputation to protect! Last year, we were the school with the highest participation for attendance. Let's Rock the Resch again this year and show our support for Mr. Brauer and our school!

Sunday, January 28th: Mass, Open House, Spaghetti Lunch, and Registration

Join us for Mass at 8am (Greenleaf) or 10am (Wrightstown). Following the 10am Mass, we are going to have an Open House at school from 11-Noon and you can check out our Vex Robotics team, literacy activities for all students, an elementary science activity, and PreK showcase.

Monday, January 29th: Bring your Lunch with your Grandparents/Parents

Tuesday, January 30th: Mini-Classes for the Community

For Catholic Schools Week, we would like to invite parents, grandparents, and community members who are willing - and have the time - to share their talents, hobbies, and patience with students. We would like to do a rotation of mini-classes for our students. See the ideas below and fill out the form or contact the school office if you are available.

Please check your calendar and consider joining us for a fun afternoon. Please also mention it to grandparents.

3. Beadwork

4. Baking

5. Chess, Cribbage, Backgammon, or other board games

6. Nautical knots, tie fishing lures, or build a birdhouse

7. Calligraphy, painting, stationery or card making

Wednesday, January 31st: Classroom Movie & Tie-Dye Day

Mrs. Wranosky and Mrs. Calmes are taking lead on planning a fun and creative activity for students to enjoy today. Please watch for more information in your child's classroom newsletter.

Thursday, February 1st: Mass & Adoration with Bishop Ricken, Bingo, and WPCP Enrollment

*Be sure to wear your school logo/polo today.

Join us for Mass & Adoration at 8am with Bishop Ricken. Following Mass we will have Parent/Grandparent Bingo to enjoy. Students will be invited to eat lunch in their classrooms with their reading buddies. Also, the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) portal opens for registration today. Please submit your application as soon as possible in order to commit for the 2024-2025 school year.

Friday, February 2nd: Rock K Ranch

A fun day planned at Rock K Ranch. Lunch is provided. Thank you to Home & School for helping with this fantastic day. The bus will leave at 11:10 and return at 2:45pm.

The number one way that people hear about our school is through your awesome communication and word of mouth. If you refer the family that registers, you earn $250 off of your 2024-2025 tuition per new student that registers.

BONUS: If you refer a family and they register on January 28th at the Spaghetti Lunch, they eat for free AND you qualify for the $250 referral credit. See you there!

Don't Forget:

To help you plan better for your children’s time at Saint Clare Catholic School and their ongoing education, we are offering some tuition credits.

For any students registering in 4K (for the 2024-25 school year)

and continuing on into Kindergarten (for the 2025-26 school year), a $300 credit will be applied to your 2025-26 tuition.

For any students registering in 3K (for the 2024-25 school year),

continuing on through 4K (for the 2025-26 school year),

and then continuing on into Kindergarten (for the 2026-27 school year), a $600 credit will be applied to your 2026-27 tuition.
