From the Desk of Mr. Sheehan on Manufacturing Day
On Friday, October 5th, the Drafting/CAD Junior class along with Junior, Shalor McKee, of the Metal Fabrication Department took a field trip to three local manufacturing companies. Manufacturers across the country use Manufacturing Day as an opportunity to inspire and recruit the next generation of manufacturers. It addresses common misconceptions about manufacturing by giving manufacturers an opportunity to open their doors and show, in a coordinated effort, what manufacturing is — and what it isn’t. The students appreciated the importance of how their drawings must be presented in order for parts to be accurately made.
The three manufacturing companies we toured included AccuRounds in Avon, F.H. Peterson Machine Corporation in Stoughton and North Easton Machine Company Inc. in Easton.

From the Desk of Mrs. Mack: Criminal Justice Program
The 11th graders visited the Randolph Police Academy on Tuesday, October 16th. Students were able to assist the recruits in acting out scenarios where the recruits had to assess the situation and react accordingly. Our students did a great job getting into character. They also had the opportunity to hear from the recruits about their backstory and ask questions about the academy. It was a great learning opportunity for our students.
