Sloatsburg Summer Update

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope you have been enjoying a wonderful summer so far! As we approach the new school year, I wanted to take a moment to touch base and share some important updates with you, mentioned below.

To stay informed and connected, I encourage you to follow our school and district social media pages. These platforms are great resources for news, updates, and community engagement. Additionally, if you haven't already, please download the district app. It offers convenient access to essential information and notifications.

We are eagerly looking forward to welcoming students back in September. It will be exciting to hear all about their summer adventures and to embark on another fantastic year of learning together. Our teacher placement packet will be mailed home on August 20th. If you do not receive this packet by 8/25 or have any questions please call the main office or email my secretary at jhinojosa@sufferncentral.org.

September 4th: First Day of School

September 6th: Back to School Block Party!! 5-7 pm. More information to follow. (Rain Date: 9/13)

September 13th: Pirate Pep Rally: Students encouraged to wear pirate costumes / accessories. School wide character education assembly to take place.

September 18th: Meet the Teacher Night 6-7:30 pm

September 18th: Picture Day (Re-takes 12/17)

September 25th: School Closed / Superintendent's Conference Day

Our doors will open each day at 9:10 am. Please do not drop off or leave student unattended outside of the building prior to this time.

Dismissal will begin at 3:40 pm. If you are picking your child up in a car, you may wish to arrive earlier as the line is typically long.

*As always, it is very important that you communicate any changes or updates to your child's dismissal routine to their teacher as well as with the main office staff.

🚌The Suffern Central Transportation Department will be mailing bus passes home by the end of the month.
