Community Newsletter : January 2025
Welcome back from what we hope was a fantastic Holiday Break and the first week back at school! Our hallways were buzzing and filled with excitement as students and staff returned from a restful and relaxing holiday break and New Year's celebration!
We have already hit the ground running and are excited about what the new year will bring, finishing the first semester strong, and starting upcoming the new semester off successfully!
As we embark on the switching of semesters, please make sure to check in with your child's teachers and school counselor if you have any questions or concerns. As you will read below, the first semester officially ends on Friday, January 24. The second semester will begin on Monday, January 27.
We have lots of great activities underway already and more starting throughout the month. We cannot wait to see our students participating in all that is taking place! As always, we will be sure to update you via "all-call", social media, and the school website if we have additional information to share with you throughout the month.
We thank you for your continued partnership and support and are looking forward to what amazing opportunities 2025 will bring to our school community!
Regards,
Chris Lowe

Update on Competency Determination from the State
As many of you know, with the recent removal of MCAS being a Graduation Requirement, the State put out some information regarding the next phase of this process. Please find the link to the most recent update from the State which was shared prior to the break.
We will still be moving forward with the ordering and facilitation of the MCAS, as outlined by the State.
For students in the Class of 2025 that have not yet met the Competency Determination, we are actively working with the State, the identified students and their families, and our school counseling department to ensure that these students have met the necessary requirements as outlined by the State.
We will be sure to share out any necessary information in the future as it becomes available.
