Happy Sunday West End Dolphin Superpod!

September is Attendance Awareness month, and we are celebrating all month long with classroom attendance challenges and themed days! This past week we had Team Day, and this week we are having PJ Day on Friday!

Did you know that as many as one in three students in the country misses 10%, or about 18 days, of the school year? We’re working together to make sure all kids show up and participate every day possible. Being in school supports students’ social, emotional and physical well-being, and provides students with opportunities to learn and reach for their dreams. Let’s show up together and get back into the habit of daily attendance!

Monday will be the first day of our Galactic Adventures Book Fair! Mrs. Mann has been working hard preparing for this event. Check out details below.

Monday and Tuesday we will have picture day! Please send in your child's envelope on their class's assigned day for payment. Check below for the schedule of classes that will have their pictures made each day.

Good News Club starts Monday. Students who were previously registered and have been contacted by the Club will be allowed to attend Monday. Others will be contacted for their start day to ensure a successful start to the club this year! Please have your car tag up and hanging for dismissal. If you have any questions, contact the front office to check for your child's start date.

During the month of September, we will be working to improve attendance school wide. We will continue our special spirit days on Fridays!

Also each homeroom is working toward a goal of having perfect attendance enough times to spell out the word ATTENDANCE letter by letter outside their classroom door! Thank you, parents, in advance for helping your child get to school each day...we appreciate your efforts!

Some of our clubs have already begun, but some are still in the enrollment phase. We've already kicked off "Boys with GRIT," "Girls with GRIT," Archery, and Running Clubs!

We are still enrolling for YAMs (3-5th), Good News Club (K-5th), West End Singers (4-5th), Festival Choir (4-5th), and Art Club (4-5th.) If you have a child in these grades that is interested in before or afterschool opportunities, please reach out to your child's teacher or Mrs. Simpson for more information!
