Read-a-Thon

McMillan Elementary School readers need to make sure to spend their RAT Bucks in the prize store. Any RAT Bucks not spent within 10 days after our Read-A-Thon ends will no longer be available. The prize store cannot be reopened once it is closed. All prizes will be shipped to the school.

Picture Retakes

Picture retakes will occur during the afternoon of Tuesday, October 22nd. If you have received a photo packet and would like your child to have their picture redone, make sure your child brings the packet to school. For all students who missed our original Picture Day, we will have your student's photo taken and you will receive information on how to order prints.

Attendance Award

This quarter's attendance award goes to Tucker Perez! Thank you to our generous sponsors: Stella's Ice Cream, Idaho Pizza Company and Fly High Trampoline Park.

We appreciate all you are doing to to make sure your students attend 164 days this school year!

Halloween Parade Thursday, October 31st

Costumes

· Kindergarten students will come to school in their costumes.

· 1st through 5th grades will bring their costumes in a bag and will put their costumes on over their clothes after last recess. Students must practice putting their costumes on by themselves.

· Focus on fun, not scary—NO blood or gore.

· No make-up, body, or face paint of any kind.

· No masks.

· No toy weapons.

Parade

Start Time: Approximately 3:20 PM

Students will come from their classrooms to the walking path at

3:20 PM. Teachers will lead their classes around the walking path. Parents/family will view the parade from the area outside the walking path. Please do not join the classes or send younger siblings to join classes. Cheer and wave from the parent viewing area! At the completion of the parade, students will return to their classrooms with their teachers and will be dismissed at 3:55 PM.
