Fall Fun Night, 10/18
Each year, Harmon hosts a Fall Fun Night for the students. This will be separated by grade and will be a drop-off and pick-up event.
Middle School is a time that we strive to not only prepare the kids for Junior High, but it is a time that we must allow them each a little bit of personal freedom to teach them the appropriate behavior for these times.
Enter, Fall Fun Night!
This will be a PAY TO ENTER event. Admission will be $5.00 in advance and $6.00 at the door. This will include a bottle of water and a snack bag of chips. Additional snacks and water will be available for purchase for $1.00 each.
Each grade will have an an hour and a half to hang out with their friends in a safe and controlled chaos. Parents and Guardians will drop off the students at the start time, and then pick up their kids at the end of the event. If you would like to stalk, I mean help chaperone, you can!!
We will be sending home the info sheet along with the permission slips this week.
This is a low-key event, and dressing up is not needed. School expectations on behavior are enforced.

Students have the opportunity to complete an October Counselor Connection Activity to be entered into a drawing for a reward.
October Awareness Weeks
Red Ribbon Week will take place October 28th-November 1st. Red Ribbon Week focuses on drug and alcohol education and prevention. We will also focus on healthy choices. There will be a spirit week this week as well.

Holidays can be a stressful time for families. If you are in need of this service please RSVP by 11/11/24 by contacting the person below. OR by clicking HERE to complete the request form.
More details will come with the date and time of pick up to follow!

FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH
Exciting announcement: PLSD student breakfasts and lunches will be free this school year! (Yay!) There is nothing you need to do for this. It is automatically free. However, If your child would like to buy extras or additional items from the cafeteria, they must have funds on their lunch account. If by chance you need help with that (financially), don't forget to fill out the free/reduced lunch application for school-fee reductions.
HOPE Packs
PLSD offers HOPE Packs to students who need additional food resources over the weekend. These packs are given out at the end of the day each Friday and the students can take them home directly. To request a weekly HOPE Pack for your child, please reach out to me by email or phone.
Morning Latchkey
The Jerry L. Garver YMCA and Pickerington Local Schools are exploring options for the YMCA to potentially provide before school care to middle school students for this or next school year at Harmon Middle School. Please complete this survey by Friday, October 4th. The results of this survey will determine the next steps.
