Community Check in
Dear ROCS Community,
I wanted to send a letter of gratitude for your patience as we navigate being back at school with COVID together. We appreciate your support of following our guidelines, consenting to testing, and understanding that we are partners with the CDPH (California Department of Public Health) and MCPH (Mendocino County Public Health) in this process. We know this time presents a diversity of challenges for each family, and our team is here for your children, fostering their resilience in the face of a different kind of school year. According to MCPH, our school has only experienced community based exposures (children are not spreading COVID at school), and we ask for your efforts to stay COVID safe outside of school.
Our first priority is to keep our children safe by following safety guidelines and procedures, and as we gather new information that relates to COVID, our goal is to communicate to the community as quickly and clearly as possible. At times, sharing any news can be stalled due to needing guidance from MCPH, and once we have it, we send our emails and texts. As we field new questions and concerns, we are doing our best to learn and develop more effective ways to navigate this experience for our community.
Thank you for choosing River Oak Charter School as your child's home for learning!
We look forward to creating a community event when our health guidelines allow, and until then, we appreciate your partnership on this journey.
With Gratitude,
Kristi and Team ROCS
