Hero Happenings!

1. We are anticipating having packets available on Friday for pick-up at HMS. You will not enter the building to get the packet. We have packet drop-off & packet pick-up kiosks at the front of the building. Look for the video later this week that shows you exactly what to do:)
2. You may pick up packets 24 hours a day/7 days a week AFTER FRIDAY.
3. Remember - we ALWAYS encourage you to turn in work digitally. Taking pictures of paper and emailing teachers is FINE!

1. Please check this same newsletter daily this week. I will be adding sections at the top of the newsletter if there are updates for you.

2. Our teachers are working and here for your students! Please, please, please have your student check his/her email if at all possible.

3. We will begin distributing packets for AMI days 11 through 20 THIS FRIDAY. You can access AMI assignments on-line or you can pick up a packet at school starting this Friday.

4. Lunch will be served all this week at HMS. You will come to the east side of the building, in the bus turn-around and get a "grab & go" lunch from 11:30-12:30pm. Students should come with parents. We will serve all students PK-18yrs.

5. Students can turn in their AMI by taking pictures of the work and emailing it, even if you don't have a computer. Use your phone and take pictures. We will be sending out information later this week on how to drop off your completed packet at the school if digital is not an option.

6. We do not have information yet on student-led conferences, tryouts or tentative May dates for events. Info about that will be coming soon too.

7. Students can access 3rd quarter grades using the Home Access Center (HAC). If you need a printout, call the school (750-8725) and we will mail a copy to you.

8. Counselors put together some info for families last week - check it out!

I will start a NEW mailing list for next year's newsletter. If you are a parent of a CURRENT 6th grader, please use this link to register again for this newsletter. Also - share with anyone that has a CURRENT 5th grader. You can register as many email addresses as you would like, simply complete the form multiple times.

Every week we want to introduce you to fabulous Heroes that work at Hellstern. We have some of the best teachers and staff in the world and can't wait for you to get to know them!

4th-7th - Band Tryouts during school (current 6th graders)

4th - Choir Concert @ HBHS PAC (7pm)

11th & 12th - Current 5th graders visit HMS during school
