Lots of events are starting to appear on the calendar and one of the most important is our monthly PTO Meeting. The PTO will host it's first meeting Monday, September 9th at 5:30 PM in our commons. We hope you can join us as we prepare for Homecoming, popcorn days, and the fall fundraiser. Even if you can't attend the meeting but would like to volunteer, please contact our PTO at arrowwoodPTO@stcs.org.

Arrowwood Elementary is currently seeking 1 individual to work as a lunch aid with the Eagles. Candidates must love kids, enjoying playing sports, and helping students with lunch. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Ms. D'Haene

Now is the time to sign up to join Arrowwood's Girls on the Run program. Visit www.gotrgreatlakesbay.org to sign up today. There are limited spots on a first come, first serve basis. Scholarships are available to participate.

Thank you for your help and support in the parking lot to ensure a safe arrival and dismissal for our students.

• For student's safety, do not release students from vehicles until a staff member is stationed at the crosswalk at 7:25 AM. Students are unsupervised until this time.
• Vehicles using the parking lot should park in a designated parking space and escort their student to the crosswalk. This area is not a second drive through drop off lane and we almost had a student injured by a car because it's such a busy place in the morning.
• Please note that you can pull all the way up along the sidewalk and students can be released anywhere on the sidewalk.
• As one of our families shared previously, have your student in "paratrooper mode" so that they are ready to quickly hop out of the car to prepare for learning and keep the lining moving efficiently for all of our families. The drop off line moves quick when everyone is ready.

The PTO does a fabulous job making popcorn on Fridays through out the school year. The popcorn subscription is back! Be sure to fill out and return this form if you would like this option for your child to have popcorn on each of the Fridays they are popping for the entire year. Our first popcorn Friday will be September 13th.

Accidents and spills happen at Arrowwood and we like to be ready for the Eagles. Items that we have for students include shirts, pants, and undergarments. We are currently in need of boys pants size 8 to 10. If you have any gently used clothing you are willing to donate, you may send items in with your child to the main office. Thank you in advance for your help!
