A Closer Look at Creative Cloud Express: Part 1 - UEN Adobe Spotlight Ep. 9
In this episode of UEN Homeroom, Dani and Matt are joined by Kami Dupree from the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) and Heidi Mattews with the Utah Education Association(UEA) to discuss teacher retention in Utah. Listen to learn more about how these two groups define teacher retention and how, through their data collection, they're creating initiatives to address the teacher retention issue in our schools.

This six-week course is designed to introduce elementary and preschool teachers and library media specialists to effectively use the wealth of information resources in Utah's Online School Library (UOSL) to enrich their teaching and students' learning. The course guides participants through using the many databases of newspapers, journals, and magazines as well as encyclopedias, videos, music collections, and more. Each week participants add on to an online library resource made just for their students, as well as explore learning activities and effective research strategies that ensure students benefit from the online library resources as well.

Educators are increasingly expected to exhibit skills and knowledge of using technology to enhance student learning. The UEN Educational Technology Endorsement Program is grounded in the USBE EdTech Competencies and the Utah Effective Teaching Standards. The Competency-Based Educational Technology Endorsement is divided into four courses. Participants will come away with a portfolio of work that aligns with each competency.

UCET / UELMA 2024 - March 19th-20th

Your eyes do not deceive you. UCET and UELMA are combining forces for their 2024 conference. This year join both conferences in downtown Salt Lake City at the Salt Palace for two days of amazing learning. Keynotes, registration, and call for proposals will be share in the coming weeks. Information will be shared on UCET.org and UELMA.org.

Resource Spotlight

Google Educator Group Utah has started up their daily resource shares with their community! Over the past two years, GEGUtah has shared daily resources from Google, edtech, and professional development opportunities from across Utah. GEGUtah is taking it up a notch this year by sharing its resources on social media (Twitter and Instagram) as well.
