Fill the Boot
Mark your calendars, Fill the Boot is back on Wednesday, December 4th! Cougar Crew will again be partnering with the San Miguel Fire Department to spread holiday cheer and collect monetary donations. These donations will be used in partnership with the Elks Lodge to purchase holiday gifts for at-need East County youth. Our Cougar Crew leaders will greet you as you arrive on campus on Wednesday morning and invite you to give as you are able. New this year is a QR code that allows people to donate by credit card, Google Pay, or CashApp. We can't wait to see how the Steele Canyon community can work together to raise funds that will help make Christmas that much merrier for at-need families. Please contact Cougar Crew Co-Advisor Pam Ahrens at pahrens@schscougars.org with any questions.
Steele Canyon Gratitude Tree
Our annual gratitude tree allows students and staff to demonstrate their gratitude by drawing or writing what they give thanks for on a leaf. Our community really came together this year. Look at the result! Special thanks to our student leaders for organizing and putting up the leaves.
Spirit Week: December 2nd-6th
Help Us Support the Homeless: Care Package Donations
Dear Cougar Families,
Club Impact and our ASB are organizing a drive to create and distribute care packages for individuals experiencing homelessness, and we need your support. These care packages will include essential items like hygiene products, snacks, and other basic necessities to help those in need. All packages are planned to be dropped off at St. Vincent de Paul Village on December 6th.
How You Can Help:
We are collecting both monetary donations and in-kind contributions to assemble the care packages. Here's how you can get involved:
- Monetary Donations: Your financial support will help purchase necessary items for the care packages.
- In-Kind Donations: We are accepting donations of specific items, including:
- Toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste, lip balm, combs,)
- Socks
- Hand sanitizer
- Gallon ziplock bags for packing
Deadline for Donations: December 6. Drop off @ Main Office and they will be taken to room C105 (ASB Room)
Every little bit helps, and your generosity will go a long way in making a difference for those in need.
