At 7:30PM on Wed. Feb 8th, the PTA will host a virtual parent education workshop on Navigating Friendships through Elementary School. The session will be led by Victoria Stevenson, M.S. OTR/L, an occupational therapist specializing in pediatric and transitional services.

The workshop will address:

• How to help your child develop healthy friendships
• Support your child in establishing boundaries
• What to do when your child is left out

We are collecting donated items for the 2023 Ross auction. We are depending on the generosity of this community to pull off our biggest fundraising event of the year!

Can you donate any of the following by February 17th?

• Airline miles or hotel or Amtrak points

• Vacation home rental for a weekend or week

• Home-cooked meal or baked goods

• Lessons for children or adults based on special skills (e.g., dance, sewing, cooking, etc.)

• Tickets to a show / sporting event

• Hosting a party for a special event

• Babysitting services

• Gift cards

The Ross Local School Advisory Team (LSAT), made up of parents and teachers, will soon be reviewing the Ross budget for next year. The LSAT would like to hear from all Ross parents and teachers about their priorities with a short survey.

Please share your opinion by filling out this survey by Fri, Feb 4:

• Fill out the survey online in English, or on paper in front of Ross between 8:15 and 8:45 a.m. each day this week

Come join fellow Ross students and families for an afternoon at the theatre! We are going to see The Hula Hoopin’ Queen at Imagination Stage on Saturday, March 4th at 1pm!

Book your tickets on the Imagination Stage website and use the code Ross15 for a discount when booking. Tickets are starting to sell out for some shows, so please book now.

For those who want to metro over together, come meet at the Ross playground at 11:45am to walk to the Dupont Circle metro and then metro to the Bethesda station, which is a 0.4 mile walk from Imagination Stage.

We are starting a game library at Ross! This will be a collection of games that families and teachers may borrow. We are starting our collection with game donations from Ross families.

Please consider donating games you may have that are:

1. In good condition and not broken or missing pieces
2. For ages 4-12, and
3. Can be easily transported and stored.

You may drop them off in the box by Ms. Segovia's office.

School Without Walls at Francis-Stevens, one of our middle school feeders, will be hosting its last open house on Feb 6. You can register to attend here.
