Welcome Back
Administrators Message
Tofield school has many things going on for students to take part in: Golf, Volleyball, X-country running. We held our Welcome Back assembly on Friday September 9 with keep the tradition of welcoming grade 5 and new students to the Titan team and congratulating our grade 12 students on their final year with us. Our grade 5 students asks questions for our grade 12 students
1. What is your favorite part of Tofield School?
2. What can we look forward to about high school?
3. What is your best advice for a new Titan?
We also discussed that a Titan takes care of self, others and this property. We gave examples of what that would look like and sound like. Tofield School has a behavior matrix that outlines the expected behavior in all areas of the school. Finally we reminded students that Tofield school is a place of learning. Everyone is a learner who tries their best each day. Teachers create positive and safe learning environments so that all learners can ask for help to support their learning. Everyone is acceptance and belongs at Tofield School.
Communication is very important to a successful school year. Please always contact your child's teacher if you have questions or concerns. If you are needing to contact administration here is our assigned grades. Mrs. Lazaruik grades 10-12 Mrs. Buckley grades 7-9 Mrs. Erick grades 5-6.

Career Counseling
FSLW
Did you know...
Tofield School has a Family School Liaison Worker (Michael Cole) who provides free general support in the school setting. Because students learn best when their mental health is supported, FSLW's work with students and families to manage challenging events they are facing, focusing on mental wellness for each student's individual needs. FSLW’s also provide ideas for support and resources available outside of the school if needed.
Students over 14 are able to consent to seeing an FSLW on their own, and are asked to fill out a simple form that can be found at the school office or from the FSLW. Parents and community service providers can use the same form to refer a student for FSLW service. Please note, anyone aged 13 or younger requires parental consent. Once complete, forward the referral form to fslwreferral@brsd.ab.ca or send the completed paper copy back to the school office. As a reminder to those who have accessed FSLW supports in the past new referrals are required each school year.
Wishing you all the best this year,
Michael Cole
