Description: In an effort to continue exercising our safety protocols, this year the 8th grade Career Exploration will occur over 2 days, January 14th & 15th. The event will bring guest speakers via TEAMS to our students. The summit will feature a keynote speaker: Tyla-Simone Crayton, junior achievement activities, college tours, and guest speakers. Students will be in assigned locations and speakers will be projected into our RTMS classrooms and online links.
Due to space constraints and promoting the well being of our students, the event will occur face to face and online. The event will be facilitated through advisory classes.
Online students will receive a link to participate on Wednesday, January 13th.
We look forward to continuing the tradition of offering 8th grade career day.
If you have additional questions regarding career day please email Dr. Williams @ shannon.williams@fortbendisd.com
Two thunder claps to our RTMS PTO for sponsoring this event, securing our keynote speaker, and guest speakers.
RTMS Photo Retakes
If your student missed out on yearbook photos in November, a retake session will be available on Wednesday, January 20 from 10:30-1:30. Face-to-face students will take theirs during the day, and virtual students should come to the front office following their online screening for a temperature check during their lunch (between 12:30-1:30). We want everyone included in the yearbook, so don’t miss out!
Photo orders are available on a prepaid basis; please click here and type “Thornton” in the search bar. Enter your email address and begin your order.
