For Rising Carroll 6th Graders

I hope this email finds you faring well. My name is Julia Huffman and I teach theatre at Carroll. I'm reaching out with a FlipGrid opportunity for your rising 6th graders attending Carroll to connect with me, other rising 6th graders and current Carroll students. Basically, it's a chance for your students to introduce themselves and "talk" back and forth with me and other Carroll students, asking questions, sharing interests, and generally getting to know one another. 🙂

To access, students must be logged into Wake ID and go to flipgrid.com or download the app. From there all they need to do is enter the Flip Code: thedailyhey. The topic will pop right up.

Knowing how hard a time this is, particularly for 5th graders, I thought they'd appreciate some face time and a warm welcome from people at their middle school. My 6th grade "Intro to Theatre" class is only a quarter long, which means I teach A LOT of 6th graders. It's wonderful getting to know so many, and with this time at home I thought I'd kick-start introductions!
