NEWSLETTER | TERM 4 | WEEK 3 | 24 OCTOBER 2024
Rebecca Clarke | Principal
Dear parents and caregivers,
Week Three already!
We are excited to share that our Year One and Two students have completed their first week of swimming lessons, and it has been a wonderful experience for all! Throughout the week, our little swimmers have embraced the water with enthusiasm and positivity. Under the guidance of swim instructors, they have learned essential swimming techniques, water safety skills, and, most importantly, the joy of being in the pool. Each lesson has been filled with laughter and teamwork as students encourage one another and celebrate their progress. It has been heartwarming to see the confidence grow in our swimmers as they navigate the water and take on new challenges.
Last week a large group of selected students represented St Elizabeth’s at the Interschool Athletics Carnival at Ridgewood Park. Congratulations to all of our students for the wonderful sportsmanship that they demonstrated throughout the day and well done to those students who placed in their individual events. Thank you to Mr Rebeiro, Mr Fitzgibbons, Mrs Irwin, Miss Newton and Mrs Staltari for assisting on the day.
Today was our annual Grandparents Day and what a turn out we had, and it was so nice to welcome all our Grandparents to our school. Celebrating our Grandparents is a joyous occasion at St Elizabeth’s. Our Year Two students entertained us with a wonderful item all about Grandparents and just how great they are! We all thoroughly enjoyed celebrating and meeting the wonderful individuals that hold such a very special place in our students’ hearts. Some of our Grandparents travelled distances to attend this day with everyone walking away very happy and thrilled to be invited into the classrooms. A big thank you is also extended to Mrs Dimond, Mrs Martino, Mrs Irwin and Mr Glenn for organising a delicious morning tea for our Grandparents to enjoy. This year's Grandparents Day was definitely another successful one!
Finally, I would like to warmly welcome to our 2025 staff our new Physical Education teacher, Miss Jenna Newton and Early Years Education Assistant, Mrs Annette Doe. Both ladies come to us with a wealth of experience in their fields and will be a wonderful addition to our St Elizabeth’s team.
As the weather warms up, a reminder to please make sure that all jumpers have been labelled as our lost property box is growing!
Enjoy a lovely weekend!
God bless

What you need to know!
Students will be getting changed at school before and after lessons - please see your classroom teacher's Seesaw correspondence for more information.
Students may bring a robe to wear over bathers whilst on route there and back, students who do not have a robe will use their towel.
We recommend bringing a waterproof or plastic style bag for wet bathers to come home in. Students with one piece bathers should not wear this under their uniform, as the sessions are in the afternoon and they will need to use the bathroom during the school day.
Rash vests are permitted. No bikini's please - two piece modest bathers or one piece swimwear are preferred.
Please ensure your child has the following items for swimming lessons and they are clearly labelled with their name in a separate swimming bag.
- bathers
- towel
- goggles
- thongs/crocs/slip on's
Please do not order lunch orders, during your swimming lesson weeks. Students will require a packed lunch.
Parents and family members are welcome to spectate, Aquamotion charge a casual spectator entry fee of $2.00 per session and this can be paid on entry at Aquamotion.

World Teacher's Day - Hats off to Teachers
Today, we celebrated World Teachers' Day, and our teaching staff enjoyed a delicious hot beverage and a beautiful morning tea prepared by our wonderful non-teaching staff.
I want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to our incredible teachers. Your dedication, passion, and commitment to our students truly make a difference in their lives and futures. Every day, you inspire curiosity, foster resilience, and create a nurturing environment where our students can thrive. Your hard work and creativity do not go unnoticed, and we are grateful for your impact on our school community. Thank you for being the guiding light for our students and for everything you do! We appreciate you!
In gratitude
Emma Fernandez
