Immunization Reminder
Dear BCS Parents/Caregivers of Current 6th Grade Students: West Virginia State law and rules require that all children entering school in West Virginia for the first time in grades K-12 must show proof of immunization against diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B unless properly medically exempted.
ALL children enrolling school in grades K-12 MUST have age appropriate immunizations as mandated by West Virginia State law PRIOR to attending school!
All students entering 7th Grade must show proof of immunization against Tdap and meningococcal/meningitis: West Virginia recommends a health check/physical exam and a dental exam for all 7th Grade students before the first day of school.
Call today to schedule an appointment with your child’s physician, a local health department, or community health center to have your child vaccinated. This is required to attend the first day of class next fall. If you have any questions, please contact your school nurse Amanda Dagostino, RN 304-274-5030 or amanda.dagostino@k12.wv.us
IXL Initiative for December
Each month we have a different way to recognize students who work to achieve their goals. This month, we are recognizing each student who meets their mid-year target for growth. Please encourage your child to spend some time on IXL while at home. Reach out to any teacher for more information.
Locals Schools Accepted Donation from Bedington Ruritan
This week, representatives from Spring Mills Primary, Potomack Intermediate, Spring Mills Middle, and Bedington Elementary attended the monthly Bedington Ruritan meeting to accept a generous donation to each of our schools. Yay!
Box Tops for Education
Dear SMMS families,
As part of our ongoing fundraising efforts, we want to remind you that you can help us earn funds through Box Tops for Education by simply submitting your grocery receipts.
Here are two easy ways to participate:
Drop Off Your Receipts: Bring your receipts to the office and place them in the designated Box Tops Collection Box. Our Box Tops Coordinator will scan them for you—no need to do a thing!
Scan Your Own Receipts: If you prefer, you can scan your receipts using the Box Tops app. It's quick and easy! Just download the app, scan your receipt, and submit.
Every Box Top adds up, and your participation helps us get closer to our goal. Please take a moment to either drop off your receipts or submit them through the app. We appreciate your support!
Thank you for helping make a difference!
