I want to begin by expressing my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support of our students' growth and achievement. The partnership between home and school is vital to the success of our students, and I am so thankful for the role you play in helping them thrive each day.
ATTENDANCE GOAL ✅👀
We need your help! Last week, our school ranked 7th out of 9 elementary schools in attendance percentages. 🥺 I know we can do better, but we need your support!
Let’s aim for the top 3 in the district this week. Our daily attendance goal is 98%. Please remember to schedule appointments outside of school hours or after 10 AM.
Also, we offer weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly attendance incentives for students (see flyer below for more details). Classes with PERFECT ATTENDANCE each week will earn a special treat on Friday afternoon and a pass for extra recess.

GRAND EVENT at OES 🥰😍
This week we welcome students to invite TWO visitors to eat lunch with them in the cafeteria. This is in honor of Grandparents day, but the visitors can be any TWO loved ones. See flyers with schedule below. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time in order to sign in. Feel free to bring lunch for your special Ocelot or enjoy the school lunch ($5 cash only).
NOTE: Students will still go through the cafeteria line. Family is invited to attend, but students should remain in school for continued instruction after the event! (No early pick-ups at the event, please!)
Fall Candy Apple Fundraiser - Final Week🍎🍏:
We are in the final week of our Fall Candy Apple Fundraiser! Please remember that order forms and payments are due by this Friday, September 13, 2024 or before. (Make checks payable to: Olmito Elementary School.)

Car Tags for Curbside🚗:
REMINDER: All vehicles must display their hanging car tag when picking up a student via curbside. Any vehicle without a tag will be directed to the front office, and your child will be released after 3:20 PM. If you need an additional car tag, they are available for purchase in the front office for $5.
