Secretary Tutwiler Visits UHS
On Friday, March 3, Uxbridge High School hosted the Massachusetts' Secretary of Education, Dr. Patrick Tutwiler, for a campus visit. The Secretary toured four of the UHS lab spaces and meeting with a panel of students, faculty, and industry partners as he acquaints himself with a model Innovation Pathway program. In addition to Secretary Tutwiler, the Assistant Secretary for Career Education Bob LePage, Assistant Commissioner Elizabeth Bennett, Innovation Pathway Director Jennifer Gwatkin, State Representative Michael Soter, State Representative Joseph McKenna, Senator Ryan Fattman, and Selectman John Wise participated in the tour of UHS' programs.
The Secretary remarked that the programs at UHS are "special," as he interacted with students, visited classes, and participated in some activities that are similar to what UHS students do every day. UHS marked the very first school that the Secretary has visited since taking office five weeks ago. Be on the lookout for some additional photos of the visit!

Grease is a turbo-fueled nostalgic musical road trip through the joys, relationships, and dances -- literally and emotionally -- of the students of Rydell High in 1959. Come share the excitement of new love, shiny cars, future dreams, and best friendships as “We Go Together” from those “Summer Nights” “Hopelessly Devoted to You”. and so much more! We go together is absolutely right as the UHS Drama Club has a cast and crew sixty members strong! They are directed by Mrs. Kathleen Penza and Ms. Mary Mangnall, with a great deal of assistance from Ms. Sue Hirtle. The production is also collaborative effort between several departments at Uxbridge High School including Performing Arts, Visual Arts/Graphic Design, and Technology and Construction. The annual musical is truly a school-wide effort!
