BASEBALL PREVIEW
The Mustang Broncos high school baseball team enters the new season with high expectations as they look to build upon their past successes and push for another strong finish. With several key players returning to the roster, the team is poised to be competitive both in the field and on the mound. The infield will be anchored by experienced starters Kaden Williams, Luiz Herrera, and Kamden Mantooth, who will provide solid defense and leadership throughout the season. Additionally, Wyatt Williamson returns as the starting catcher, bringing both a strong arm and a sharp baseball IQ to help control the game behind the plate.
On the mound, the Broncos are counting on senior Kylen Dodge to lead the pitching staff with a dominant performance. Dodge's experience and ability to handle pressure situations make him the cornerstone of the pitching rotation, and his leadership will be crucial in navigating the tough matchups that lie ahead. With a blend of veteran talent and a strong work ethic, the Mustang Broncos are focused on making a deep playoff run, and the expectations are high for a season full of success and growth.

BOYS AND GIRLS GOLF PREVIEW
The boys and girls golf programs are under the leadership of new head coach, Joel Heath, who has hit the ground running. Since June, the athletes have been practicing, getting to know each other, and learning the game. A booster club has been established, and fundraisers have already provided several great resources for the golfers.
During the fall season, both teams participated in several dual matches against other schools and a few tournaments. We continued to work through the winter on fundamentals, with a particular focus on the short game—“Drive for show, putt for dough.” Our goal is to continuously improve and shave strokes off our scores. The coaching staff has high expectations, and the golfers are setting high standards for themselves too. By working together, they are pushing each other to get better.
Although golf is often viewed as an individual sport, pushing teammates to improve ultimately helps both the individual and the team. Last year, we had just one golfer qualify for the state tournament as an individual, but this year, we believe both teams have a strong chance of qualifying. The hard work they have put in is already showing results.
Wish us luck!

Softball Preview
Check out what Coach Darity has to say about this year's team:
We are very excited about the 2025 season and the opportunity to once again defend our 6A State Championship. Although we lost some very talented seniors in last year's class, we feel that we have a great mix of talented upper and underclassmen for this season. We return five upper-classmen with state championship experience, and we expect these players to be great leaders for our roster and continue the expectations of Mustang Slowpitch softball. We have put together a very challenging schedule this spring, but we believe iron sharpens iron, and our goal is to be playing our best softball the first week of May.

BOYS SOCCER PREVIEW
Here is a message from our soccer coaches
We are excited about kicking off this year. There are several players that are extremely talented and we are excited to see the growth over the past off-season. We were moved to a district that includes the east side and we will see several teams we are not familiar with. That is exciting, but the travel this year is going to be brutal. We have worked hard the past year and hope to see results.
Our guys played in a summer league over the summer and also went to the Oral Roberts Team camp. The guys enjoyed that time. In the fall, one of our staples in helping with the Bronco Kids Club. Not only do the players enjoy this, but the kids look forward to seeing the "soccer guys. We have had a very successful offseason on and off the pitch. Looking forward to playing under the lights soon!

GIRLS SOCCER PREVIEW
Last year brought us a lot of growth and experience for our young squad. We are very excited about this team's potential this season as we return 8 starters from last year's team! The girls have worked tremendously hard this offseason and we have seen great improvement and continued growth on and off the field. Competition has been high between our players with practice emulating game-like intensity. Developing that competitive mentality and embracing a team first mindset has been huge for this group this offseason! We are looking to build from where we left off last season guided by the great leadership and guidance from our returners. We are ultimately excited to see all the hard work pay off on the field! The girls are eager to get the season started! Go Broncos!

BOYS TENNIS PREVIEW
Here is a message from Coach Hurst:
The Tennis coaching staff is very excited about his upcoming year! The boys are returning a very experienced group led by Seniors Jaden Le, and Christan Salas. Le will hold down our #1 Singles spot, with 3 years of varsity experience. Salas was a State Champion in 2023 at #2 Doubles, he looks to continue his dominance as one of the top Doubles players in the State.
The boys team is extremely deep with several talented Freshmen and Sophomores fighting for varsity positions. The Broncos are looking to excel at Regionals and State again this year. The Mustang Broncos Boys and Girls Tennis Teams have been practicing since August and have anticipated the arrival of the season opener on March 1st. They are ready to hit the court and see some competition.

They are impressive at both singles and doubles. The Doudney Twins look to make a deep run at State this year.
The girls team is filled with a strong group of Freshmen who are rapidly improving their skills everyday. The Mustang Broncos Boys and Girls Tennis Teams have been practicing since August and have anticipated the arrival of the season opener on March 1st. BOYS AND GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD PREVIEW
We are very excited to get our 2025 season underway. We have so many key components returning from our girls 2024 State Championship team and our boys 2024 Regional Championship team. Both our girls and boys teams have strong leadership and new young talent that will help us be competitive again this year. I can not say enough about how hard this coaching staff has worked this offseason to prepare our teams.
These coaches have shown so much dedication and grit so I am excited to see what we all can accomplish with this group of student athletes.
Our kids are very eager to get the season started. They continue to stay focused on what our goals are as a team and what they all need to do in order to accomplish them. We believe 2025 will be another exciting season for our Mustang Bronco Track and Field Teams.
