Library Books

Families, please help your child keep their library books safe. This includes not putting water bottles in backpacks. We have already lost several books this year due to water bottles in backpacks. Thanks for your support!

APEX

Our APEX Fun Run is this Friday! Remember to get plenty of sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, stay hydrated, and wear good shoes to run in! We are so incredibly proud of the students here at Old Town Elementary for their hard work! Thank you all for your support, it has been a blast to see the blue and orange all over campus! One of the final challenges that students will receive with APEX is the Principal’s Ice Bucket Challenge!

Below are the times for each grade level.

7:45-8:35 4th Grade

8:40-9:30 5th Grade

9:35-10:25 2nd Grade

10:30-11:20 1st Grade

11:25-11:55 PK/ TWC/ECSE/FAC/FCC

Kona Ice Day is happening on Friday, September 27th between 1 and 4:15 pm. Come prepared with your money to purchase a cold treat while the APEX final obstacle course run is happening!

Visitors on Campus

We love seeing you on campus! Please help us ensure student safety each and every time you visit campus. All visitors are required to check in at the front office using our RAPTOR program. We kindly ask for your understanding and partnership.

Safety at Dismissal

Please remember the following when picking up your Texan at the end of the day:

• Guardians who are picking up their Texan as a walker/ parent pick up from the blacktop must park their vehicles in a parking spot and walk to retrieve their child. Double parking at any time is not allowed. Parking spots open up frequently. If you are not wanting to park in a parking spot, you can join our car rider line and request a number here: Rider Number Request- New to Old Town Request.

• Please utilize the crosswalks when navigating the parking lot. Let us help you safely cross the parking lot. Guardians should not cross the car rider line indicated by the yellow cones at any time.

• Thank you for being mindful of the speed of your vehicle at all times and remaining off of your cell phone in the School Zone.

Effective August 2024 - State mandated change regarding Over-The-Counter medications during the school day. Administration of OVER-THE-COUNTER medication during the school day needs a physician's signature AND a parent/guardian's signature to be administered by a nurse.*

Happy Birthday Book Club opportunity! Would you like to honor your child on his/her birthday and help the library program as well? You may dedicate a book to the library in your child’s name. The cost is $20.00. Please make your checks payable to Old Town Elementary or click HERE to pay online with a credit/debit card.
