Dear Monomoy Middle School Families,
Earlier this month, I had the privilege to partner with our student ambassadors to visit 6th grade classes for a discussion around healthy peer interactions. I was so impressed with the maturity with which our 6th graders were able to approach the topic, and feel hopeful that this was a moment to pause and reflect on student agency in supporting our school community. Something that was highlighted for me from listening to our students during these sessions is the continued need to provide support as they learn to navigate the digital world. As many of us adults did not grow up with the degree of online influence that our students experience, we wanted to share resources to support families and caregivers as we all try to support students with building responsibility and accountability as digital citizens.
