We want to keep this a secret from the students until later this week but we know that parents need to plan ahead!

We anticipate our students earning their school-wide reward later this week.

We are planning to surprise the students with a Spirit Week from December 16th - December 20th.

Monday, December 16th: Crazy Sock Day

Tuesday, December 17th: Winter/Holiday Sweather Day

Wednesday, December 18th: Kendall Spirit Day

Thursday, December 19th: Flannel Day

Friday, December 20th: Pajama Dan

We had a beautiful fall but he cold weather has officially arrived and it looks like it is here to stay! Here are a few reminders for the winter months:

• Students go outside for recess as long as the feels like temperature is 5 degrees and warmer. Please be sure to send them to school with appropriate clothing. A doctor's not is required for any requests for students to stay inside for recess.
• Arrival and Dismissal timelines remain the same. Please take extra care to ensure that you arrive at school with enought time for you child to be in their classroom by 9:05. Do not drop your child off in the carline area if the staff are no longer at the curb. Please be patient at dismissal as many of our "walkers" will be switching to "car riders" and learning their end of day routines.
• School Closures are decided and announced by the district. Emails and/or phone calls will be sent to families if schools are closed. IPSD 204 follows an E-Learning plan on these days. Students in grades K and 1 should already have snow day packets at home just in case. Students in grades 2-5 will recieve a digital packet via google classroom by 9:00 a.m. on the snow day. If schools are closed for a second day, more information will be sent to families and live, online instruction will take place.

If you’re facing barriers that make attendance difficult, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Whether you need assistance with transportation, navigating medical appointments, or other resources, we’re ready to work together to find solutions.

Our address is 2835 Showplace Dr. Suite 107, located in the Naperville Crossing shopping plaza on route 59 just north of 95th St. Our current hours are Monday - Thursday 10 AM to 7 PM, Friday and Saturday 10 AM to 8 PM, and Sunday 12 PM to 6 PM. When you come in to pick up your pieces, please tell the staff you are with Kendall Elementary School. Kendall’s items will be located right at the front desk, just inside our door. Thank you to all our Patriot families who generously donated to this year’s Giftmart toy drive. Our collection bin was filled with amazing gifts that we know will bring joy to families within our district. Your kindness is greatly appreciated!

We are excited to bring back the Kendall Variety Show!!! Auditions will start at 4pm on December 17th. Auditions are open to ALL students in grades K-5! Both group and individual acts are welcome!
