Parent-Teacher Conferences Statement:
As education has continued to evolve in the 21st century, Scott County School District 2 has continually been ahead of the curve providing our students with the best devices, learning management system, and connectivity. Parents, teachers, and students are more closely linked than ever before with 24/7 access to course materials, grades, and a variety of tools (such as email, Canvas messaging, Harmony Family Access, and Parent Square) to make sure our students are on track and our parents are informed.
One byproduct of this outreach and connectivity has been a decline in attendance at traditional-style events like parent-teacher conferences. While these events were valuable in the past, they are not always the best means of engagement in today’s faster-paced, more connected world.
Moving forward, we will only request traditional in-person conferences for students and families who need it. We are still more than happy to meet with any parents and students who wish to have an in-person meeting. Parents are encouraged to contact teachers to set up an in-person or digital conference if they feel one is needed.
When you #ChooseScott2, we provide transparency and access to updates regarding your student’s achievement, behavior, and learning. We look forward to traveling with your families on the path to a brighter future.
If you have more questions about how to get connected with your child’s school, please do not hesitate to reach out to your student’s teacher or building administrator.

As an additional option, you can enroll in an online Driver Education course for the instructional portion of the class if we do not have an opening during the session you would like to register for. Though you can use any class approved by the BMV, that list is available by searching "Licensed Driver Training Schools-In.gov".
3. Bring the payment receipt for the on-line class to Mrs. Angie Richey at the SHS Main Office. At that time you can register for the driving portion which is $350. Mrs. Richey will issue you a CDE form stating your student is enrolled in Drivers Ed at SHS.
4. In order to obtain your Learner's Permit, take the CDE form along with a certified birth certificate, social security card and 2 documents with the student's name and address to the BMV. The SHS office can print a Harmony page that can be used as one of the address documents needed. Students will be given a test over the Indiana Drivers Manual and a vision test before obtaining their Learner's Permit.
