GISH GLIMPSE
December 2024
Principal's Message
Dear Warrior Families,
I hope this message finds you well and in good health. Bring on December! We are looking forward to an incredible three weeks! Winter, although not officially here, is pretty much here, let’s be honest!
With this colder weather and larger amounts of snow, students are getting into the winter spirit! I thought I would take this time to lay out a few reminders!
Indoor recesses will occur when the temperature plunges lower than -20 degrees.
Students should be coming to the school dressed for the weather as we will continue to go outside in colder weather.
On the very cold days students will be permitted to enter the building through their regular entry point when they get dropped off.
PARKING is continuing to be a concern of mine as I am fielding more complaints from our neighbours.
As mentioned in previous messaging to everyone, we must not be blocking anyone’s driveways, or worse, parking in their driveways! This has been happening since the beginning of the year and I am requesting that we find other solutions. Unfortunately, as principal, I do not have the resources to have teachers supervising these areas during before and after school times. I would appreciate your help with this.
The superintendents have been informed, as have bylaw and the R.C.M.P. - I am hoping that no one has to receive a ticket. :)
If this message pertains to you, please ensure that you are complying with the above request.
Winter Activity Day - will be taking place on the 19th of December! It is a fun day where students get to complete winter themed crafts, have hot chocolate, sit by the fire and enjoy some cookies!
Gish’s Got Talent - talent show follows our winter activity day and will take place on the 20th of December. Students in Gr.5 - 9 can audition to display their talents in front of the school! This is an amazing opportunity for our students and we are looking forward to it!
Thank you to everyone for your continued support of your children, our teachers and support staff! We are so lucky to have such an amazing school community!
Sincerely,
Mr. Harrison
