Parent Drop-Off (Please Read)
Parent Drop Off: We have seen an increase in walkers to and from school daily. With that, please be vigilant at the crosswalk and know that we will increase our presence on Grove Hill Road to assist. Additionally, there is NO drop-off at door #4 (gym doors) as this interferes with bus traffic. I will continue to keep safety as our top priority here at Midlothian Middle School. We ask that you adhere to the traffic pattern prescribed below:
Enter from Grove Hill Road off of Woolridge Road through the Enclave Apartments.
Always stay on the right hand side of the road.
Follow the blue signage and cones throughout the route.
There will be NO entrance or exit at Midlothian Turnpike
Only drop off/pick up your students in the traffic circle and as indicated by green arrows on the map.
The easternmost entrance (by the Red Barn) is not an entrance for drop off/pick up. There will be NO drop off/pick up within this entrance for students.
The bus loop is for buses and staff only.
Oct. 2 is deadline to apply for adult and student openings on School Board advisory committees
Advisory committees established by the Chesterfield County School Board are one way community members connect with schools. Advisory committee members are appointed from each of the county’s five magisterial districts and include parents, teachers, staff members, students and others interested in helping Chesterfield County Public Schools achieve its vision of creating a better tomorrow. Advisory committee members who are appointed by the School Board must reside in the district they represent. Go to bit.ly/BdCom for information about specific committees (including meeting dates).
The Gifted Education Advisory Committee is seeking a Midlothian District representative to serve a partial term ending June 30, 2026. Parent representatives must have a child participating in gifted education at the time of appointment. Apply at bit.ly/BdCom by Oct. 2 if you are interested and eligible.

Solving Problems Together
Everyone within CCPS works to support students and help them grow into strong young people. When there is a problem, we want to connect with students and families to solve it. As we enter week two of the 2024-2025 school year, we want to be sure that families know what to do if you have a concern. Communicating to school staff members is the best way to start. Here is a handy chart to help the problem-solving process
Attendance Information
Please email or call her when your student is sick, will be picked up early or arrive late. Her email address is: carla_hagen@ccpsnet.net.
If your student has already missed school this year, and you haven't notified Carla, please email her. Thank you.
Team Chesterfield Game Changer Submissions are OPEN
At the roots of a strong public school division are an exceptional faculty and staff and a committed base of community supporters. Chesterfield County Public Schools is fortunate to have both!
Each month, to help recognize the game-changing work – inside and outside of schools – that our outstanding staff members do on a daily basis, the school division celebrates Team Chesterfield members who go above and beyond. Team Chesterfield's Game Changers are those who step up to meet the needs of our students; offer support and access to resources that assist their colleagues; provide an extra layer of support for families outside of the classroom; and who generally make a positive and sometimes life-changing difference in the lives of our students, families and their colleagues. Click here to nominate a CCPS staff member.
Each month, the Superintendent chooses four staff members from each magisterial district to be recognized for outstanding service. One central office member monthly will be recognized as well.
Want to recognize a Team Chesterfield Game Changer in your life? Submit nominations for the upcoming recognitions by Sept. 21.
