Happy Halloween, Wildcats!
Harvest Hop
The high school Student Council had their annual Harvest Hop last Friday, October 25th, for our level 2 students. Students from Otsego, TK, and Byron Center also attended. We played games, danced, and had a lot of fun. This event is definitely a favorite at the high school!
Davenport University
On Tuesday, October 29th, WUHS juniors and seniors had the opportunity to attend an admissions presentation and complete a walking tour of Davenport University's campus.
Witchling's Wish
Mrs. Kupres' 2nd grade classroom enjoyed listening to the story "Witchling's Wish", read by their Principal, Mrs. Bailey.
Themed Math Lesson
Mr. Oostindie challenged his students with a Halloween multiplication worksheet. Check out their masterpieces!
Mystery Science Lesson
Mrs. Nykerk's students completed a Halloween-related Mystery Science lesson, focusing on the question, “Why do our skeletons have so many bones?” In this mini-lesson, students considered what would happen if their body didn't have bones. In the activity, Skeleton Hand, students combined science with art: they traced their hands, then added see-through bones to their picture, making their own skeleton hand. Check out the amazing finished products!
