Only 50 Days Until Prom/After-Prom - We Need Your Help!
Cherry Creek After-Prom is on May 17, 2025, from 11:30 PM - 2:30 AM at Family Sports Center.
Prom is sponsored by the Cherry Creek Activities Office, but the After-Prom party is planned and executed solely by parent volunteers and funded through donations. After-Prom provides 3 hours (from 11:30 PM - 2:30 AM) of activities, entertainment, and food in a safe space on a historically high-risk night. With the support of our families, community members and businesses, we are able to provide a variety of activities that create a memorable experience. The best part is that it is 100% FREE for all attendees. This year, we are expecting 1,200 - 1,500 students at the event. Ice skating, laser tag, a climbing rock wall, trampolines, bumper cars, arcade, a casino, large inflatables (mechanical bull, velcro wall, jousting) 9 square, gaga ball, and an 18-hole putt putt golf course are among the activities the kids will enjoy. Along with great food, a live DJ and a 360’ Photo Booth to capture the fun. Approximately 75 parent volunteers will be on site to execute the event and ensure everyone is safe and having a good time. This is sure to be a night to remember! Current projections are putting this amazing event to cost around $50,000. Please consider donating by clicking HERE - any amount helps!
There are a couple of fundraisers for this event, one at Evereve at the Park Meadows Mall on Sunday April 6th from 12-5PM (see above picture), and one at Canes on April 30th (see attachment below), stop by and support the Cherry Creek After-Prom!

Educator of the Year- Deadline is March 30th 2025
We are very pleased that Virginia Decesare and David Knoeckel have been chosen as Educators of the Year for Cherry Creek High School for 2024-2025!
I am compiling a photo album that will contain letters and pictures from people such as you, who know Virginia Decesare and David Knoeckel. These letters will help the selection committee to understand why you feel Virginia Decesare and/or David Knoeckel are outstanding educators. Eventually, this “book of letters” and other documents will be presented to both of them in a Memory Book as a lasting reminder of this honor at graduation rehearsal.
If you wish to honor Virginia Decesare and/or David Knoeckel, please send a letter and/or photos by March 30, 2025, so your comments/pictures can be included in the book. Please mail your letter to:
Bonnie List 54 Glenmoor Way
e-mail your letter to: Bonbonsel@gmail.com or Cherry Creek high school will have an envelope in the main office where you can drop off your letter.
When writing your letter some things you might consider:
How do you know this educator? A special story about them. How they made a difference in your life or to your child’s lives. What makes her or him so special? It could be a story or something she/he did for you, or even something funny from class.
Thank you so much for participating in this wonderful opportunity to say “Thank You” to Virginia Decesare and David Knoeckel! I know how much your letters will mean to them.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions at Bonbonsel@gmail.com.

Spring Sports Highlights:
Here’s a quick recap of our spring sports teams after an eventful Spring Break on the road:
- Baseball: Our defending STATE champions traveled for a tough schedule and are currently 1-4. Despite the early challenges, they’re returning most of last year’s starters and remain focused on pursuing another championship run.
- Boys Lacrosse: Ranked 11th in the nation and 1st in Colorado, the team dominated their Spring Break trip to San Diego, going 3-0 against top teams, including last year’s California and Texas state champions. They’re now 5-0 on the season.
- Girls Lacrosse: The team went on the road over break and, despite a 1-3 record, is showing great potential. Freshmen are stepping up, and the team continues to grow with each game.
Great job to all our teams! We’re excited to see them in action as the season continues. Go Bruins!
