Open House-November 20
We cordially invite you to attend Pioneer High School's Open House event - and please share this invitation with your friends, neighbors, and family members who have children in PreK-8!
Date: Wednesday, November 20th Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Location: Pioneer High School Large Gym
This event is designed for all families interested in learning more about our school community. Do you know families with younger children who are starting to think about their future high school options? Please encourage them to join us! The Open House is an excellent opportunity for families to:
- Learn about our comprehensive academic programs
- Explore our diverse co-curricular activities
- Meet and interact with current students
- Connect with PHS parents
- Ask questions and gather information about our school
Whether you're a current parent, prospective parent, or know someone who might be interested in Pioneer High School, we welcome you to be part of this informative evening. The best recommendations come from our community members, so please help us spread the word!
Field Trip Opportunity-November 20, 2024
Attention All Students!
The Whittier Union High School District is hosting a special event on November 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Whittier HS Vic Lopez Auditorium to celebrate Native American Heritage Month.
This event will feature a Native American Dance Experience and Explanation. All students are welcome to attend this cultural celebration.
If you would like to participate, you must pick up a permission slip from the Curriculum Office. The completed permission slips are due by 3:00 PM on Friday, November 15th. The first 50 students to submit their permission slips will be able to attend the event.
Transportation will be provided. Don't miss this opportunity to learn about and experience Native American traditions and culture.
Overdue Chromebooks and Textbooks
If your student has overdue textbooks, please return them to our Learning Materials office as soon as possible. Additionally, if they have more than one Chromebook, please return them to our Computer Lab. Overdue materials may result in fines and limit students from walking at graduation.

Volunteers Needed for PHS Open House!
Date: Wednesday, November 20
Event: PHS Open House
Who We Need:
- 8 parents/students to help welcome and greet families from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- 10 parents/students to share their positive experiences with families during the same time slots.
- Everyone is encouraged to join in welcoming TK-8 families on this special day.
Rewards for PHS Families:
- Earn 4 stamps on loyalty cards by:
- Bringing another family to the event.
- Volunteering to greet or share experiences with families.
- Upcoming Raffle Dates: December 12, February 20, and May 29.
Earn 2 additional stamps for:
- Donating nacho chips or cheese for the PTSA fundraiser.
- Donating a $10 gift card for raffle prizes (e.g., coloring contest, PHS swag, participation). Please send gift cards to the PHS Horizons Office.
