- Daily Bell Schedule is from 8:10 am - 3:10 pm
- Students can enter the school starting at 7:40 am
- At 8:10 am students need a parent or guardian to check them in at the attendance window
- Items can be dropped off to the office for students until 8:30 am. After 8:30 am items will not be accepted (medication being an exception) in an effort to minimize disruptions to the instructional environment.
- After 2:40 pm students can not be checked out
- Students must be picked up by 3:30 pm
- FCA will meet on Wednesday mornings 7:20 am in room 705
- Parent conferences can be scheduled by the parent or teacher upon request. Please email the teacher to set up a parent conference.
- Hallway lockers are not used at Veterans Memorial Middle School. Gym lockers are used and will be purchased through the PE department.
- Policies and procedures for all middle school athletic events can be found above in an attachment. A parent or guardian is required for entrance to events.
The VMMS Student Handbook and the MCSD Student Handbook can be found above or on the Veterans Memorial Middle School website. The student handbook contains important information related to dress code, school rules, policies and procedures. We highly encourage families to review the student handbooks at home to gain a full understanding of our policies and procedures at Veterans Memorial Middle School and Muscogee County School District.

The VMMS Cheerleading Team participated in the Muscogee County School District Cheerleading Showcase in December! Rangers Lead The Way and Cheer The Way!
The Rowdy Rangers Robotics Program continues to grow! Veterans Memorial is the only middle school in MCSD with an FTC Robotics Team this school year! To learn more about our robotics program please contact either Mrs. Scarbrough or Mrs. Mitchell.
The Class of 2029 visited The National Infantry Museum in December. Students were able to learn about the history of the U.S. Army Infantry from the American Revolution to present day. Students were eligible to attend based on earning passing grades and not having any office referrals.
The VMMS Academic Bowl Team was locked in as they competed at Regionals at Georgia Southwestern State University. Congratulations to our team and Mrs. Smith for advancing to the regional competition. Rangers Lead The Way to regionals!
The Rowdy Rangers sponsored by Google competed in the First Lego League Competition at Columbus State University. The VMMS Robotics Program continues to grow as we had two teams at the competition. The Rowdy Rangers Red Team won first place in robot design! Both the red and blue teams qualified for Super Regionals in January! Congratulations to our Rowdy Rangers, Mrs. Scarbrough, Mrs. Mitchell, and our parent volunteers Mrs. Stone and Mrs. Carroll. Rangers Lead The Way to Super Regionals!
Happy birthday to our amazing assistant principal, Mrs. Ellis! All birthdays are special but some are just a little bit more important. The staff wore black to mourn… oops celebrate the special occasion. Rangers Lead The Way to 50 and beyond!
The VMMS Choir led by Mrs. Fortson did an exceptional job with their Christmas concert before a packed house at Evangel Temple Church! From Christmas classics to a freestyle to solos to Santa appearing this concert had a little bit of everything! Rangers Lead The Way in choir and performance!

Congratulations Mrs. Cook for being selected as the November Teacher of the Month! Mrs. Cook serves as a special education teacher, co-lead of our special education department, member of the leadership team, member of the safety committee, and an overall outstanding Ranger!
Congratulations to Mr. Oxford for being selected as the November Support Staff of the Month! Mr. Oxford serves as one of our MOID paraprofessionals and is currently finishing his bachelors degree. He is a great mentor to our students and displays tremendous patience and compassion towards his students.
Before the break, The Lady Rangers took on the staff in a students vs staff volleyball game. The City Champions defeated the VMMS staff in two consecutive sets! The staff put up a good fight but the champions are the champions for a reason.
The National Junior Honor Society packed treat bags for every VMMS staff member earlier this week and delivered the bags personally to them. Following their effective assembly line they enjoyed breakfast together to start the day. We truly have the best students at VMMS.
The VMMS Student Government Association organized our first Ranger Buddies event yesterday with our MOID classes. The students and staff loved the event and time together. Rangers Lead The Way in creating a positive culture for everyone!
We wrapped up the first semester with a PBIS field trip to Stars and Strikes for students who did not have an office referral during the first semester. Students were able to spend half of the day playing games, eating, and spending time with friends. Rangers Lead The Way with positive behavior and GRIT!
