THE PRINCIPAL'S CORNER
Dear HCS Families;
We hope this email finds you well. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for taking the time to attend our recent Community Night at Hinesburg Community School. Your presence and participation meant a great deal to us as we embark on this exciting journey together. Your insights, ideas, and feedback are invaluable as we strive to design possibilities for the future of education in our community.
It's important to emphasize that our discussions at Community Night are just the beginning. We are committed to continuing this dialogue and dreaming big as a community to create the best possible learning environment for our students.
To further support our ongoing conversation, weβve compiled resources and materials shared during the evening. They are linked at below. We encourage you to explore these resources at your convenience and to continue sharing your thoughts and ideas with us. Additionally, we would like to inform you about an upcoming opportunity to participate in a survey where you can share your hopes and dreams for the future of our children. Keep an eye out for more details coming soon! Your input is essential as we work together to shape the future of Hinesburg Community School.
Once again, thank you for your enthusiastic participation and unwavering support. We look forward to continuing this journey with you and making our school the best it can be for our students.

UPDATE ABOUT THE SOLAR ECLIPSE & SCHOOL
Given the unpredictable nature of the eclipseβs impact on our region, Champlain Valley superintendents have chosen to prioritize the safety and well-being of students and staff and mutually agreed to close schools on April 8, 2024.
Earlier this year, CVSD purchased solar eclipse glasses for each student. They will be distributed the week before the eclipse.
For more information on Vermontβs planning for the total solar eclipse, please visit vermont.gov/eclipse.
