Important School Information
Fall 2024 Report Cards- Available Friday, January 10, 2025
The Fall 2024 report cards will be available to parents and students in Infinite Campus on Friday, January 10th. Report cards will reflect the final grade in the courses that your student was enrolled in during the Fall 2024 Semester. The grades earned during the Fall 2024 Semester will be posted to the official transcript and will be calculated in the student's cumulative G.P.A. Therefore, it is imperative that students are aware of their grades in a course and the number of credits earned each semester.
As a reminder, Career Pathway students must earn a 2.5-semester G.P.A., and Magnet students must earn a 3.0-semester G.P.A. and meet all promotion requirements to maintain satisfactory academic standing at Arabia Mountain High School. Students who do not meet the semester G.P.A. requirement at the end of the Fall 2024 semester will be placed on academic probation for the Spring 2025 semester. Students will have one semester (Spring 2025 Semester) to improve their semester GPA to at least a 2.5 G.P.A. (Career Pathway Students) and 3.0 G.P.A. (Magnet Students). Any student on academic probation and does not meet the semester GPA requirement and the promotion requirements by the end of the Spring 2025 semester, will be exited from the academic program. Below is the promotion level requirements by grade level:
- Rising sophomores must have earned at least 6 credits toward graduation (3 core and 3 electives).
- Rising juniors must have earned at least 12 credits toward graduation (6 core and 6 electives).
- Rising seniors must have earned at least 18 credits toward graduation (9 core and 9 electives).
Encourage your child to calculate their current G.P.A. by using the instructions attached below. Please speak to your child about their current status in their courses and contact your student’s teacher if you have any questions regarding their progress in a course.
Georgia School Climate Survey- Now Open
Arabia Mountain High School invites all parents, guardians, and students to participate in the Georgia School Climate Survey, which is now open. This annual survey plays a crucial role in helping us understand the experiences and perceptions of our school community, guiding our efforts to create a positive and supportive environment for all.
For Parents and Guardians: Your feedback is invaluable. Please take a few moments to complete the parent survey by clicking on the link provided in the attachment. The survey is brief, confidential, and designed to capture your insights about the school’s climate and overall performance.
For Students: The Georgia School Climate Student Survey will be administered on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, during homeroom. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their perspectives and help us ensure their voices are heard in shaping the future of Arabia Mountain High School.
Your participation is essential in helping us maintain our commitment to excellence. Together, we can ensure that Arabia Mountain High School continues to be a place where students thrive and achieve at the highest levels.
For questions or more information, please contact the school at 678.875.3602. Thank you for your continued support!
SAVE THE DATE- 25-26 ADVISEMENT SESSIONS
Tardiness Reminders
Last week, we conducted several tardy sweeps to address students' lack of urgency in getting to class on time. Timeliness is essential for student success and for maintaining a positive learning environment. We encourage you to speak with your student about the importance of being punctual to all classes. Please note that we will continue conducting random tardy sweeps.
Chronic tardiness is a violation of the DCSD School Choice Attendance Policy and may result in disciplinary action, including the potential removal of your student from the academic program at Arabia Mountain High School. We greatly appreciate your support in reinforcing this important expectation with your student.

AMHS Spirit Shirt Sale
On the last Friday of each month, AMHS students earn a Spirit Day when they are able to follow school rules; for example get to class on time, dress in the AMHS Uniform, pick up after themselves in the cafeteria, etc.. Spirit Days are a privilege and not a right. Students can wear black or blue jeans (no holes, rips or tears and no sweatpants or leggings) with a Spirit Shirt to school on Spirit Days. In an effort to promote school spirit and have more students participate in our Spirit Days, we will be selling Spirit Shirts during lunches this week. Parents are welcome to purchase shirts as well. The cost of each shirt is $20 and payments can be made in cash only. Students who choose not to wear a Spirit Shirt with school appropriate jeans should wear their school uniform to school.

As such, we would like to invite your eligible students and/or those from your network to apply for a paid opportunity to work alongside the best problem-solvers in the research and development enterprise. In addition to encouraging you to share this announcement with your students, we also want to make you aware of the program requirements.
