Sign Up for Student-Led Conferences Today!


This year, CCSD93’s parent/teacher conferences will take place October 9 and 10 in the afternoon and evening. They will continue to take the form of Student-Led Conferences, as students will participate with their parents and teachers to celebrate successes and identify areas for growth.


Parents are invited to use PTC Wizard, an online scheduling tool, to set up conference appointments anytime from now through October 8 at noon. This year, signing up is easier than ever before! Parents no longer need to create a PTC Wizard account or add children themselves. Just follow the instructions sent via email on September 20 at noon, which included unique username and password credentials, to log into PTC Wizard and schedule conference appointments. 🙌Howler's Heroes!🙌

Every month, we celebrate students who are showing respectful, responsible, and safe behavior, and they are called Howler's Heroes! Congratulations to all of our September Heroes!

Run, Hide, Fight Drill

Students at Cloverdale will practice our intruder drill, called Run, Hide, Fight, on Thursday afternoon. We will only practice the "hide" portion of our drill. Please refer to the email that was sent from district office on August 29th for more information. Thank you.

📵Cell Phones and Smartwatches⌚

Please review the following information regarding cell phones and smartwatches. This is directly taken from the student and parent handbook.


Students may bring mobile devices to school. Per the Board Policy 710.20, if brought to school, cell phones must remain turned off and put away between the hours of 8:35 a.m.-2:15 p.m. on Monday and 8:35 a.m.-3:45 p.m. on Tuesday-Friday. Students must keep cell phones in backpacks, not in pants or hoodie pockets. Teachers and administration will collect and store cell phones in the office for students who violate this policy. Students may retrieve collected cell phones from the office at the end of the school day.


In case of emergency, parents who need to speak with their student should contact the main office and the message will be relayed to your student. Any student who needs to contact their parent or guardian may do so using the school phone in the office.


If a student wears a smartwatch to school, it must remain in airplane mode or be turned off between the hours of 8:35 a.m.-2:15 p.m. on Monday and 8:35 a.m.-3:45 p.m. on Tuesday-Friday.

Attendance Matters: Tips for Building Positive Attendance Habits

In examining our student data from previous years, we consistently find that:

  • Students who miss 1 or 0 days of school per month throughout the school year are twice as likely to meet grade level expectations in reading and math than those who miss 2+ days of school per month.

  • Students who arrive on time to school also generally outperform those who are frequently tardy.


Without question, on-time attendance truly matters to student success. Knowing this, our goal is to help students and their families to build positive attendance habits this school year, and school administrators will be making an extra effort to monitor attendance more closely than ever. Please review this info sheet for some great tips to ensure your child is consistently in attendance and on time this school year.

PTA

PTA Movie night is coming up on Friday, September 27th. Doors open at 5:30 and the movie will begin at 6:00. Snacks will be available for purchase to enjoy during the movie. We hope to see you there!


We also have a PTA meeting on Tuesday, 9/24 via zoom.
