PTO has partnered up with Raising Cane's in Rancho San Diego and will be hosting our first Fundraiser this school year. The Fundraiser will be on Friday, November 1st from 2pm-10pm. Friday is the last football game so make it a fun night with some football and food! Please be sure to mention SCHS PTO Fundraiser when ordering so that we receive the credit and share the flyer with friends and family. We would greatly appreciate your support!
All funds raised by SCHS PTO are invested right back into students, staff, and the school community.
Thank you for supporting SCHS and PTO!
Red Ribbon Week
Next week, Club Rise is promoting Red Ribbon Week. Oct. 30 is Wear Red Wednesday. That day, Club Rise is hosting Friday Night Live, who will bring a DJ and play music at lunch in the quad. Students can make a drug-free pledge on a handprint poster and Club Rise students will pass our bracelets, pins, and ribbons.
Club Rise meets Wednesdays at lunch in E202; the club mission is: Young leaders who promote a healthy, substance-free lifestyle through positive coping skills.
From the DEA: Red Ribbon Week highlights the importance of living a drug-free life. It presents an opportunity for parents, educators, and communities to reinforce the drug-free messages they share with their children throughout the year. During Red Ribbon Week, youth and adults around the nation pledge to increase their knowledge by learning more about the destructive effects of drug abuse, including prescription drug misuse, and renew their commitment to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
