You are invited to attend the 7th/8th Grade Family Information Night on Tuesday, September 17th. You will learn more about your student's day with a brief presentation at 6:00 p.m. in the Chippewa Auditorium. Following the presentation, you can walk through your students' schedule and meet their teachers.
Your student will get a schedule to fill out and bring home next week with their class schedule written down. The format for the evening will follow an abbreviated schedule of your students' day, beginning with Period 1 at 6:25 p.m. and ending with Period 7 at 7:40 p.m.
Since space is limited, we ask that only parents or guardians attend this event. If you cannot attend, please view the introduction videos for all 24-25 Chippewa teachers.
Thank you, and we hope to see you on Tuesday night!
Picture retake day is scheduled for Friday, September 27th.

Science Olympiad Initial Student Interest Survey
Chippewa is beginning the 24-25 season of Science Olympiad. Parents, if your student is interested in participating in Science Olympiad please have them complete this short sign up survey. This informs the coaches as to who is interested in Science Olympiad for the 24-25 Season. (Note that students must be logged into their school google account to access the survey). We will have an initial student and parent information meeting on Wednesday, September 25th after school at 2:30pm for students and 3:30pm for parents. Practices will be held every Wednesday starting October 2nd. For more information contact either coach: Sarah Wachter (sarah.wachter@moundsviewschools.org) or Andrea Smoley (andrea.smoley@moundsviewschools.org).
Math Team
Attention to all students that love math! Math Team is having their kickoff meeting on September 23rd from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM in the cafeteria. It’s going to be an information session where we’ll explain the dates to upcoming competitions and work on some exciting new problems together.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there! If you have any questions, talk to Mr. Hieb in room 111 or contact him at jeremy.hieb@moundsviewschools.org
Whooping Cough
A confirmed case of pertussis (also called whooping cough) has been reported at Chippewa Middle School. No action is needed. However, if your student develops a cough lasting longer than seven days, the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) is recommending that your student be evaluated by a health care provider.
