SCHEDULE CHANGE POLICY UPDATE
At this time, nearly all students have had the opportunity to meet with their counselors and schedule their courses for next school year.
Please note that the Schedule Change Policy has been updated. Schedule changes can have a serious impact on class size, teacher assignments, and the master schedule. Minimizing schedule changes helps maintain a productive and organized learning environment. In order to balance class sizes, provide sufficient staff and resources, and allow teachers to plan and maintain course objectives and efficiency, a schedule change policy must be enforced. Students will have until June 4, 2025, to request a schedule change. There will be minimal schedule changes in August. Please see the NEW policy in its entirety by clicking on this link.
Please feel free to reach out to our Student Services Department with any questions.
GRADUATION FOR THE CLASS OF 2026 WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, MAY 23, 2026!
MEDICATIONS
It’s hard to believe that another school year is quickly coming to an end! This is a friendly reminder for any student that has medication in the clinic:
- Medications must be picked up from school by a parent or guardian only.
- Students are NOT permitted to take medication home on the bus except for documented epi-pens and asthma inhalers.
- Please make arrangements to pick up your child’s medication by Friday, May 30.
- Any medication left in the clinic after May 30 will be disposed of.
Please do not hesitate to call me (330.834.4653) or email me (laf2jc@jackson.sparcc.org) if you have any questions or concerns. I hope you have a relaxing and fun-filled summer and I will see you in August!
REQUIRED MENINGOCOCCAL VACCINE FOR NEXT YEAR'S SENIORS
Please know that students entering 12th grade must have 2 Meningococcal (A, C, Y, W-135) vaccines. STUDENTS may not be permitted to attend school next year until proof of these immunizations has been provided to the school or an exemption statement is on file at school. Immunizations may be obtained from your child’s healthcare provider, pharmacies, and the Stark County Health Department. Please submit a copy of your child’s immunization or complete an exemption form prior to the first day of school next year. You may submit an electronic copy to our School Nurse, Mrs. Lori Fisher at laf2jc@jackson.sparcc.org, drop off a copy of your child's records to the Main Office or mail a copy to Mrs. Fisher at school. Please contact Mrs. Fisher, should you have questions. Please know that exclusion from school will take place if correspondence is not received.
