Welcome Back Letter from Mrs. Tesky
Dear Liberty Lake Elementary Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! As we gather together for another exciting journey, I am filled with anticipation and joy, knowing that we have a fantastic year ahead of us. This year, our theme is centered around kindness. We RISE by lifting others. Be KIND!
At Liberty Lake Elementary, we believe that kindness is the foundation of a thriving community. It’s the small acts of compassion, understanding, and empathy that create a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported. This year, we will be focusing on how we can uplift one another, celebrate our differences, and work together to make our school a place where everyone feels they belong.
Our theme encourages us all—students, staff, and families—to be the best versions of ourselves. Whether it’s through a simple smile, a helping hand, or words of encouragement, we have the power to make a significant impact on those around us. Let’s embrace this opportunity to grow not just academically but also in character, learning from one another and sharing our unique strengths.
Throughout the year, we will have various activities and events that highlight the importance of kindness and inspire us all to reach new heights. I encourage you to join us in these efforts, fostering an environment where our students can thrive both in and out of the classroom.
As we embark on this new school year, I want to extend my gratitude to each of you—parents, guardians, and family members—for your ongoing support and partnership. Together, we can make this year a memorable and successful one for our students.
Let’s step into this school year with open hearts and a commitment to kindness. Together, we will inspire one another to be our best!
With warm regards,
Jennifer Tesky
Principal, Liberty Lake Elementary
Student Placement & Classroom Assignments
We’ve put significant time and effort into creating balanced classrooms for the 2024-2025 school year, considering both academic and social factors. With over 500 students, accommodating individual teacher requests isn't possible, as we aim for equitable class sizes at each grade level.
Class lists will be emailed and posted on grade-level doors after 4 p.m. on Friday, August 30th. If this changes, we’ll notify you. Once finalized, we do not make changes to class placements.
Thank you for supporting your child and helping them understand that it’s not always possible to be placed with a preferred teacher or friends. Our staff is dedicated to ensuring a positive school experience for all students, and we appreciate your understanding that it may take a few weeks for your child to adjust to their new grade, peers, and teacher.
Liberty Lake is excited to enrich your child’s life this school year!

This event is specially designed for all incoming 3rd graders and any new 4th and 5th grade students joining our school community.
During the Sneak Peek, your child will have the opportunity to tour the school grounds, meet some of our wonderful staff and current students, and get answers to any questions they may have before the first day of school.
Event Details:
Date: August 28th
Sessions:
First session: 10:00 - 10:45 AM
Second session: 10:45 - 11:30 AM
To ensure we can plan a smooth and enjoyable event, please register your student by completing the Sneak Peek Registration Form by August 23rd. Accurate numbers help us create balanced groups and provide the best experience for everyone. After registration, we will notify you of your assigned session time and provide specific details for the event.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this. Once you register, we will be sending an email with final details and which session your Patriot has been assigned.
We truly look forward to seeing you and your child on August 28th!

A message from CVSD transporation department - Thank you for expressing interest in having your student ride the school bus for the upcoming school year.
You will need to complete this Rider Registration Form for each student who intends to ride the school bus to and from school. You do not need to register your student if they are only riding during field trips and after school activities.
If your student lives within the Walk-Zone or is a "Choice" student, they may not be eligible to receive transportation.
Completing this form does not guarantee that your student will be provided transportation.

Birthday Celebrations
We know how important birthdays are for our students, and we love celebrating them! At our 3-5th grade school, we have various ways to mark these special occasions. To ensure we accommodate all students’ dietary needs and allergies, we kindly ask that you refrain from sending birthday snacks, treats, or goodie bags. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
Upcoming Newsletters & Communication
You will soon start receiving our regular school newsletters, which will keep you informed about updates, upcoming events, and other important information throughout the school year. Principal communications will be sent through the Central Valley School District’s online messaging system, School Messenger. All newsletters will also be available on our school website. We send out newsletters on the last Monday of each month, providing information about events and updates for the upcoming month.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher first via email or phone. To ensure that our administrative team can focus on supporting our students and staff throughout the school day, we kindly ask that you schedule meetings in advance rather than stopping by unannounced. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! Meetings with our administrative team can be arranged through our front office support staff, Anya Mattioda and Becky Renken.
Please note that communications from us are sent from a no-reply address. If you need to respond, please use the email address provided above rather than replying directly to the message you received.
LLE Active 4 Youth Information
The mission of Active 4 youth is to provide elementary students across Greater Spokane County the opportunity to thrive in their physical, social, mental and emotional health through a free school cross country program. To give children a sense of community and chance to be part of something bigger than themselves.
Every Fall, our organization puts on a large fundraising auction. This fundraiser funds a percentage of the program costs of coaching staff, transportation, timing, equipment and more. Please let us know if you are interested in attending this great event.
